Nvidia updates its mobile offer, debuts the GeForce GTX 580M & 570M
If summer lovin’ happened so fast then at least summer gamin’ has the potential to last (until the winter holidays at least) but only of your system is equipped with a good graphics card. In that note Nvidia Corp. let loose two new mobile cards to ensure your gaming experience is top notch.

Patriot (finally) launches its SandForce-based Wildfire SSDs
Patriot’s promise of sweet, SandForce SF-2200-enabled store is becoming a reality as the company today released its previously-announced Wildfire solid state drives. These units make use of a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and deliver read and write speeds of up to 555 MB/s and 520 MB/s, respectively.

ASRock goes big, releases PCI-Express 3.0-supporting Z68 motherboard
ASRock has one-upped MSI and pretty much all its rivals by releasing the very first motherboard that supports the PCI-Express 3.0 standard. The board in question is named Fatal1ty Z68 Professional Gen3 and it supports Intel Sandy Bridge (LGA1155) processors (Ivy Bridge CPU support is also planned).

Amazon outs Sandy Bridge-powered HP ENVY 14 Beats Edition laptop
Released last autumn, HP's ENVY 14 Beats Edition laptop is finally stepping its game up and adopting Intel's Sandy Bridge-flavored Huron River platform. This upgrade hasn't been made official by HP but it's pretty much confirmed by Amazon who's actually selling the 'new' mobile PC.

Club 3D brings out a second GeForce GTX 560 Ti CoolStream OC card
Dutch add-in board maker Club 3D today announced a new, factory-overclocked and custom-cooled GeForce GTX 560 Ti which bears the same name as a previously-released card (GeForce GTX 560 Ti CoolStream OC Edition) but packs some different gear.

Opera 11.50 available in final form, hopes to break some download records
Codename Swordfish, the latest update for Opera Software's PC browser has now been rolled out for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, as Opera 11.50. This version allows the use of Speed Dial extensions (web apps that boost functionality) and brings password synchronization support through Opera Link.

T-Mobile debuts the myTouch 4G Slide Android smartphone
The HTC Doubleshot smartphone has now become official as T-Mobile's myTouch 4G Slide which is slated for a July release in the US. According to T-Mobile, this one has 'the most advanced camera of any smartphone' and is a 'viable replacement' for a compact camera. Plus you can call people with it.

Sony unveils the Sandy Bridge-powered VAIO Z ultra-thin laptop
Sony Europe today revealed the latest addition to the VAIO notebook family, the new VAIO Z 13.1-inch ultra-thin which can brag with a 16.65mm profile, a carbon fiber body, Sandy Bridge power, and the presence of the Quick Boot function which lowers startup time by up to 50%.

Intel said to be tying Clover Trail launch to Windows 8
Despite the fact that Windows 8 should show a lot of love for ARM-based processors, Intel is still very supportive of the new operating system and is hoping to pair it up with the upcoming Clover Trail platform.

Continuing its expansion into the cooling market, EVGA has developed and introduced its very own thermal paste/grease which is called Frostbite and is claimed to be highly conductive and very easy to apply.

EVGA starts selling branded gaming surfaces
Gamers who feel the need to show their love for EVGA can now purchase from the US-based company one of three available mouse surfaces (mousepads) which bear the EVGA brand and promise swift and smooth gliding for their laser or optical mice.

Chrome 14.0.803.0 put up in the Dev channel
A fresh Dev channel update has come about late yesterday to supply us with another build of Google Chrome. This new offering is known as Chrome 14.0.803.0 and is available, as expected, for all major PC platforms - Windows, Mac OS and Linux.

Acer claims WiFi-only AC700 Chromebook is hitting US stores this month
Faced with reports of a delay, Acer felt the need to announce that its AC700 Chromebook will actually become available in the US this month, meaning it will be on sale by Thursday at the latest. There's a catch though as only the WiFi model is coming up, the WiFi+3G model will arrive later.
