Corsair offering USB 3.0 upgrade kit for its Obsidian Series cases
Owners of Corsair's imposing Obsidian Series 800D and 700D full-towers can now get their hands (for a cost of course) of an upgrade that will add USB 3.0 support to their cases. The upgrade kit consists of a front I/O panel that will replace the default one, and the cabling required for it.

Just about a week has passed since PowerColor offered a glimpse at its newest Radeon HD 6870 card and today the add-in board maker has launched said card, naming it the PowerColor HD6870 2GB GDDR5 Eyefinity 6 Edition. As you might have guessed, it's intended for use with multi-monitor setups.

Sparkle develops single-slot GeForce GTX 570, and it's looong

Archos shows off 7-inch e-reader, low-cost 8-inch tablet at CeBIT
At CeBIT 2011, France-based Archos has introduced two new mobile devices, a 7-inch ebook reader called Archos 7ob and an 8-inch entry-level (read cheap) Android tablet dubbed Arnova 8. Both products are set to cost €129, with the tablet being the first to hit stores (in about three weeks).

AU Optronics countersues Sharp over LCD tech
In response to a patent lawsuit brought up by Sharp early this year, Taiwanese LCD panel maker AU Optronics (AUO) has filed not one but two complaints - one in a Delaware court and one in California, which it claims Sharp has infringed on nine of its US patents.

Unigine's Heaven Benchmark, the first test suite to feature DirectX 11 capabilities, has now received a new update that piles up more graphical bling to stress today's top GPUs more than before. With this latest release, version 2.5, Unigine has also introduced a Professional edition of the app.

New iTunes 10 update brings iOS 4.3 support, lots of bug fixes
Following its Jobs-enhanced iPad 2 event, Apple let loose the 10.2 version of iTunes which includes support for the incoming iOS 4.3, and improved Home Sharing, allowing users to browse and play their iTunes libraries on an iOS 4.3 device.

Steve Jobs says: 100 million shipped iPhones, iPad sells 15 million in 2010
Today at the iPad 2 event, Apple CEO Steve Jobs (who actually wasn't expected to present) has kicked things off by dropping some bragging numbers - 100 million shipped iPhones to date and 15 million iPads sold in 2010.

LG shows off D2342P 'Super 3D' monitor at CeBIT
Among other (more or less) sweet hardware, LG's CeBIT booth has on display a 'Super 3D' 23-inch monitor which makes use of 3D FPR (film-type patterned retarder) technology so as to enable a 'cinema-like' 3D experience.

Book seller Barnes & Noble and e-reader technology company Spring Design have buried the hatchet and inked an agreement through which they are settling the lawsuit filed back in November 2009 by the latter.

Plextor's M2S SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs get priced
Present at CeBIT 2011 in Hannover, storage firm Plextor has confirmed that its M2S solid state drives are already making their way into stores and will be available later this week in at least two European countries, in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB capacities.
