Fears Windows 10 Will Blow Data Caps
So the latest Windows 10 complaint is that Microsoft's new OS is blowing through people's data caps.

Consumer groups have slammed Microsoft for its policy of forced updates for Windows 10, which is hitting customers in remote locations with massive bill shocks by blowing out their data caps. EFA executive officer Jon Lawrence said EFA was "very concerned" about reports from internet users in remote locations whose bandwidth had been "completely swamped" by forced updates.

Teenage Girls Play Video Games Quietly Or Alone
Statistics are great and all but the rest of the world just wants to know who IS TO BLAME FOR THIS INJUSTICE!?!?

Here are the numbers. Almost 60 percent of the girls in the study (more than 1,000 teenagers of both sexes, surveyed last fall and this winter) say they play games on a computer, console, or cellphone. Of those girls, 47 percent say they never play online. Another 27 percent say they never even play with someone else in the same room. Not even 10 percent of teenage girls open their mouths and speak in public video game spaces.

IRS Breach Way Bigger Than Initially Thought
Of course the IRS breach was bigger than initially thought. The funny thing is, had this been a regular citizen that incorrectly estimated this number, there would be a form to fill out, with a penalty and interest.

Today the agency increased that number by an additional 200,000 folks, bringing the total number of potential cases to 334,000. Using a "Get Transcript" tool to access tax returns from previous years -- a vulnerability that the government knew about -- hackers were able to use personal details on 610,000 taxpayers to retrieve tax-related info on the over 300,000 accounts.

The article doesn't describe the Amazon I know or the caring Amazonians I work with every day," Bezos wrote on Sunday. "I strongly believe that anyone working in a company that really is like the one described in the NYT would be crazy to stay. I know I would leave such a company.

HTC continues to struggle, plans 'significant cuts across the board'
We all know HTC has been struggling for the last couple of years, but the company is on the precipice of releasing one of the most exciting products it has ever launched: Vive. But, that doesn't mean it's going to be a massive seller for the company, with plans on some extreme cuts to HTC's core business.

htc-continues-struggle-plans-significant-cuts-board
The Taiwanese giant has said that the next step to try and secure the future is to have layoffs, cost cutbacks, and a reduction of how many smartphone models it offers to consumers. Chief Financial Officer Chialin Chang talked with Reuters recently, saying that "the cuts will be across the board" and that "they will be significant". No exact number has been discussed, but we should expect to see it before Q2 2016.

MSI's custom GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lighting is coming soon
It looks like MSI is preparing what could be the best GeForce GTX 980 Ti on the market with its 980 Ti Lighting card, a beast that the company was teasing at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany over the last few days.

msis-custom-geforce-gtx-980-ti-lighting-coming-soon
MSI confirmed they were making their GTX 980 Ti Lighting, with no prototype card on display. We should expect the MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lighting card to sport the usual custom PCB, beautiful design and kick-ass cooling. Rumor has it MSI is going to have a stock GPU clock of 1217MHz resulting in a Boost clock of 1342MHz, but I would dare say we should expect more than that considering the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Extreme Edition is clocked higher than that, without a custom PCB.

We should hopefully have the MSI GeForce GTX 980 Ti Lighting in for review as soon as its released, so we'll keep you updated on what could be the most exciting GM200-based card yet.

Metal Gear Solid V is 1080p 60FPS on PS4, 900p 60FPS on Xbox One
With just mere weeks away from release Konami has revealed the full specs for its AAA stealth espionage blockbuster Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain across all platforms, giving gamers a quick look of what kind of performance values that can be expected for next month's launch.
PlayStation 4 flavors of MGSV will hit a fluid resolution to frame-rate ratio of 1080p 60FPS, whereas Microsoft's Xbox One will be rendered at not-so-surprising native 900p at 60FPS. The PC variants are predictably beefier, with support of a maximum 4K resolution (3840x2160) output but is also capped at 60FPS.
The last-gen PS3 and Xbox 360, which were put on the back burner of development, will be both internally scaled at 720p and see their frame rates halved at just 30FPS. All-in-all these rates are wholly consistent with Ground Zeroes' cross-platform specs.
To further illustrate visual performance across the four platforms Konami issued a few side-by-side comparison screenshots. The gallery shows a number of key contrasts in lighting, density and all-around fidelity. We've included a brief look at the graphical differences below.
metal-gear-solid-1080p-60fps-ps4-900p-xbox-onemetal-gear-solid-1080p-60fps-ps4-900p-xbox-one
metal-gear-solid-1080p-60fps-ps4-900p-xbox-onemetal-gear-solid-1080p-60fps-ps4-900p-xbox-one
In other MGSV news, Konami issued a Q&A session on Twitter to answer burning community questions, revealing various factoids like PS Plus and Xbox LIVE are both needed to play Metal Gear Online and access the Forward Operating Base (FOB) mechanic, that all platforms have identical content, and that the game's microtransactions won't force players to spend money to "complete or build anything in the game".
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is slated to release on September 1, 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Every Steam pre-order comes with a free copy of the prequel Ground Zeroes, and NVIDIA is giving MGSV away free with select GeForce GPUs.

Microsoft's Hololens will support online multiplayer via Xbox LIVE
Although VR is largely regarded as the hot new tech for gaming, Microsoft's Hololens has huge potential to make AR a very real combatant against devices like the Oculus Rift. One of the key paths to doing so revolves around seamless multiplayer interaction through AR, and Microsoft has tapped its online juggernaut service Xbox LIVE to power these experiences.

microsofts-hololens-support-online-multiplayer-via-xbox-live
At Gamescom 2015 Microsoft Games Evangelist Jaime Rodriguez revealed that the Xbox LIVE API would be fully functional across every device in the Universal Windows Platform, which includes Windows Phones, Windows 10 PC's, Xbox One consoles and the new Hololens AR headset.

This effectively means that Xbox LIVE online multiplayer could eventually be available on the AR-ready Hololens. Imagine playing Minecraft with friends across the globe via holographic images overlayed across your home, hacking at projected trees and building titanic castles in the sky...I'm getting excited just thinking about it.

Sadly this reverie might not manifest any time soon, as Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella says that the Hololens is a "five-year journey" and that the headset will initially be used to fuel "development and enterprise scenarios" rather than whims of fancy. Plus the holographic AR device is still in its early stages, and the first wave of devkits will be released sometime this year, meaning gamers have some time yet before a final consumer release.

Microsoft wants to 'support Steam and help run great on Windows 10'
Although Windows 10 is touted as a boon for gaming as a whole, PC gamers worried that Microsoft would eventually break away from Steam integration and force users to the Windows Store. So far that hasn't happened and Microsoft continues to leverage marketplaces like Steam and GOG for the new OS, but what does the future hold?

microsoft-intending-compete-steam
"We are not intending to compete with Steam," Xbox's senior director of PC gaming Kevin Unangst told PC Gamer. "If anything, we want Steam to be even more successful-they've done great things for PC gamers in terms of having a single store. Over time do we want more developers to come over to our store and offer it in addition to Steam? Absolutely. But our goal right now isn't to do anything else other than support Steam and help it run great on Windows 10."

Unangst goes on to highlight the reasons why Games for Windows LIVE failed and what he learned from the approach. "Games for Windows was a prior approach where it was more, at that time, like 'how do we take things?'" the Xbox exec iterated. "We knew we wanted to help make great multiplayer, we knew we wanted to bring things over... but it wasn't the right approach. It was the approach of 'let's just take those things and transplant them'."

So far most games have proven to be compatible with Windows 10; users have compiled a huge list of Steam games supported with the new OS and 85% of GOG's digital marketplace is supported as well. Other clients like EA's Origin store have been reported to operate as intended with fully playable games.

Although not wanting to directly compete with Steam, Microsoft continues to take queues from the dominant marketplace. One recent instance is the new Xbox Game Preview program, which effectively brings a very Steam-like early access presence to the Xbox One platform. Microsoft plans to use the community-driven testing and feedback approach of early access to aid in development of its own first-party games.

For now Microsoft isn't in a position where it can actively compete against the likes of Steam, but its ecosystem of devices powered by cross-compatible features proves Microsoft wants to change up the playing field.

The skies are crawling with enemy ships, and you see sparks and explosions from ships about to be taken down," DICE's Associate Designer Peter Forsman said about the new mode. "On top of that, you've got this great music, sound design, and gameplay, making the whole thing feel like an authentic Star Wars dogfight."
Out of the total 18 nomination categories, Star Wars: Battlefront won five of them, which is more than any other game on the ballot. following Gamescom categories: Best of Gamescom 2015, Best PC Game, Best Online Multiplayer Game, Best PlayStation 4 Game and the Most Wanter Consumer Award. Saitek is building peripherals exclusively for Star Citizen
Cloud Imperium Games has just announced it has partnered up with peripherals maker Saitek on some exclusive products for Star Citizen, including joysticks, keyboards and headsets.

saitek-building-peripherals-exclusively-star-citizen
In order to help with the huge immersion in Star Citizen already, specifically made peripherals are only going to add to that. Saitek partnered up with CIG on the peripherals to not just being 'stylized' but they will be uniquely designed to the look and feel of the hardware used in Star Citizen.

There will be a 'connected theme' of keyboards and joysticks so that there's an entire control solution for the hardcore Star Citizen fans. The keyboards and mice that Saitek are working on won't be reskinned peripherals, they will be an entire system of peripherals that can be used in a modular way, which has me excited just typing it in for you to read, let alone using them myself.

Saitek is planning on making a bunch of input systems, including HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick), HOMAK (hands on mouse and keyboard), HOTAK (hands on throttle and keyboard), HOMAS (hands on mouse and stick) and even a HOSAS (hands on stick and stick). This will allow consumers to buy the peripheral pack that they personally would find the most useful, not limiting gamers in any way. It's an awesome announcement from CIG and Saitek, which should have Star Citizen fans super excited.

Marketed as an easily manageable and upgradable all-in-one type solution, even a case carry handle is included in order to help you transport your whole system around the office, to LAN parties or to a friends place.

Set to be released on Indiegogo soon as a finance campaign, we have been contacted by Crono Labs with some pre-release renders of exactly what the final product should look like.

The Crono Labs C1 case doesn't have much public information available just yet, but it looks like a Mini-ITX sized chassis and we know that it comes complete with the IO ports pointing towards your desk in order to increase cable management from your monitor to the components. Crono Labs further stated that you should expect around 80% less dust in your system too, this is due to the case being raised off the ground.

Expect a review from us when the final chassis is created.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will include split-screen gameplay on PC
Treyarch has come out swinging during Gamescom this year, announcing that Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on the PC will include some great support, with studio boss Mark Lamia teasing earlier in the year: "If you've really invested in your rig, we want it to pay off". During Gamescom, Treyarch provided a breakdown of what to expect on the PC version of the game:

call-duty-black-ops-3-include-split-screen-gameplay-pc
  • 100% Ranked Dedicated Servers
  • 2-Player Split Screen
  • Seamless Game Controller Support
  • Strong GPU scaling, SLI and Crossfire Optimizations, and 4K monitor support
  • FOV Slider
  • Framerate Cap Slider
  • Improved Text Chat features available in-game and also now in lobbies
  • Fantastic Steam Trading Cards
  • Treyarch Anti-Cheat (TAC)
It's great to see "strong GPU scaling" as well as "SLI and Crossfire optimizations" included in Black Ops 3, but one of my favorite additions that Treyarch are putting into the game is the FOV slider. An interesting node is the framerate cap slider, which is a different thing to see these days. Treyarch added: "As we add more optimizations and advanced graphics features, we're re-evaluating our recommended spec, so stay tuned. Rest assured that our goal is to provide the best performance across the widest range of machines possible".

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will reach the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 3, while the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will come out at a later date.

Treyarch has added: "

Disrupting drone flights by using 'intentional sound noise'
Researchers from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) plan to demonstrate an anti-drone system that uses sound to disrupt drone flights.

disrupting-drone-flights-intentional-sound-noise
If implemented, the system is able to target the Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) gyroscopes, which are used by drones to stay level. Blasting sound towards the drone, however, is able to disrupt the gyroscope, so the drone will lose balance, and its tilt, orientation and rotation can be disrupted.

Of course, researchers tested several different gyroscopes and drones by attaching a wireless speaker to the aircraft. That would be impossible for a real-world anti-drone scenario, with KAIST researchers noting they don't have the tools in place to develop the "weapons in our lab."

There are potential uses for anti-drone systems, as militaries across the world are worried about stealth reconnaissance - and the potential drones could be used as flying IEDs.

Microsoft will use Xbox early access to test first-party games
Xbox Game Preview is Microsoft's own spin-off of Steam's early access, a program that lets preview members beta test unreleased Xbox One games for a fee. Although the Xbox early access initiative was originally for indie games, Microsoft has since revealed it will use the program's community-driven approach to help develop and test its own first-party exclusives.

microsoft-use-xbox-early-access-test-first-party-games
"First party will be using Game Preview for our games," Microsoft's head of publishing Shannon Loftis told GameInformer. "It's not 100 percent. It's very much developer choice, but it is definitely an option."

"We are curating that program very much with an eye for making sure that the games are high-quality games. A lot of the issues we've seen with the folks that tried this sort of service earlier are things that we've been able to learn from," Loftis says, nodding toward Steam's cluttered Early Access platform. "There is a little bit of extrapolation that the gamer has to make in order to guess that the end product is good. So far, nothing has backfired as far as gamer reception, but we are being very cautious."

From Loftis' words it looks like the Xbox Game Preview platform isn't just another money-making scheme to turn out unfinished games that might end up in limbo. Microsoft apparently plans to incrementally curate the games over a period of time armed with the might of community-driven support (feedback, testing and, of course, money).

The pilot program has gained quite a bit of momentum since it was announced at E3 2015. Loftis says that game developers have flocked in droves to the idea, leading to a "mad rush" in the dev community. Indie devs everywhere are eager to have their games featured on one of the first major wide-scale early access programs for games consoles.

This news aligns perfectly with Xbox boss Phil Spencer's strategy on focusing more on first-party games. What better way to ensure quality experiences than letting gamers beta test and give feedback every step of the way? In this light early access on the Xbox One could be a tremendous boon for the Redmond-based console-maker.

To date Xbox One Game Preview has games like The Long Dark and the renown space sim Elite: Dangerous, with Day Z and Sheltered coming in the pipeline. Right now the feature is only available for members of the Xbox One's invite-only preview program. If you happen to know someone who's in be sure to ask them for a quick invite.

Vantec UGT-PC370A 2-Port USB 3.1 Gen II Type-A PCIe Card Review
vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
With the introduction of USB 3.1 as the next generation in external storage connectivity, many vendors are gearing up solutions with the latest ASMedia controllers. One of these vendors is Vantec and as we are sure to see a plethora of enclosures in the near future, we first must start with the host device, the UGT-PC370A.

The PC370A is the model of the latest USB 3.1 PCIe add-on solution to come from Vantec. This solution features two Type-A USB 3.1 ports in a full height PCIe card. Like many products on the market, the Vantec solution can take power from the PCIe slot up to 500ma, while devices over the power limit of the slot will need to make use of the on-board 15 pin SATA power connection on the card. Operating system support includes Windows 7, 8 and 8.1, along with Linux Kernel 3.13 and above.

MSRP of the Vantec UGT-PC370A is listed at $34.99 with a one-year warranty.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
Packaging for the PC370A includes an image of the card on the front with marketing information both to the right and left at the bottom.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
Scope of delivery for the Vantec includes the card, driver disc, and installation guide.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
Looking at the card, we find the ports are colored slightly lighter than we found with the Addonics solution, again we have the full height bracket installed.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
The PCB of the Vantec solution carries both a SATA power and floppy power connection. At the bottom, we have a PCIe x4 connection that is sure to give the bandwidth needed and in the middle of all of it is the ASMedia 1142 controller.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
Our first test to be completed was to test the performance of our onboard solution as a comparison. As you can see, in using the ADATA SE730, we reached 545 MB/s read and 458 MB/s write.

vantec-ugt-pc370a-2-port-usb-3-1-gen-ii-type-pcie-card-review
Switching over to the Vantec PCIe card, we netted nearly identical results with read at 546 MB/s and write at 458 MB/s.

The Vantec PC370A is a solid card for those that want to take the jump to USB 3.1 without upgrading their motherboard. The build quality seemed to be on par with expectations with a solid PCB as a base then adding on the latest ASMedia controller for the best in performance. We did have a few issues with the driver's disc that was included not launching, but that was quickly remedied by downloading the latest driver from the internet.

Performance was on par with previous solutions we have seen, again only being able to use the ADATA SE730 we haven't seen the true potential of USB 3.1 to this point. With that said, the Vantec solution was able to give us 545 MB/s read and 458 MB/s write, which is much quicker than anything we have seen from USB 3.0. As far as pricing is concerned, the Vantec PC370A carries an MSRP of $34.99 which puts it five dollars more expensive than the Addonics solution we tested, but five dollars cheaper than the ASUS solution.

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) today announced that EA SPORTS FIFA 16*, chosen Best Sports Game by E3 2015 Game Critics, delivers New Ways to Play in its two most popular modes: FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and Career Mode. FIFA Ultimate Team introduces FUT Draft, a brand new way for fans to test their team building skills and compete with some of the best football players in the world. In FIFA Ultimate Team Draft, fans can compete in single player or online** in a single knockout string of four games to achieve rewards - the more games won, the better the reward to utilize in your FUT Club. Once fans enter a Draft using virtual coins, FIFA Points, or a Draft Token, they will choose from one of five formations, then a captain, and then go on to fill out the rest of their 23-man squad by selecting a player from a choice of five in each position. Fans will be tested as they choose between picking the best players and creating a team with the right chemistry before they enter their games. See FUT Draft in action as two of England's top football pundits, Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville play the all new mode: here.

"We are delivering unprecedented depth and innovation to the franchise this season by bringing several new ways to play across Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and through the introduction of twelve Women's National Teams," said David Rutter, VP and GM, EA SPORTS FIFA. "We think fans are going to be equally as excited with all the new ways as they have been with the gameplay in FIFA 16. From hands-on gameplay events across the world, we've heard resoundingly positive feedback on the balanced and exciting experience we are building in FIFA 16."

FIFA 16 delivers Innovation Across the Entire Pitch in gameplay highlighted by No Touch Dribbling and Clinical Finishing, two new features sure to provide Moments of Magic in the final third. To balance against attacking players, defenders now move as a unit with new positioning and 25 feature changes to their locomotion, ensuring they stay with attackers and give fans Confidence in Defending. Arguably the most important part of the pitch, the middle of the park is where matches are won and lost, and FIFA 16 encourages fans to gain Control in Midfield with Passing with Purpose and Interception Intelligence, two revolutionary features that elevate the battle for possession and balance gameplay. Goalkeepers have also been improved with new save animations and authentic positioning.

Rich and authentic football narrative in FIFA 16 is driven by hours of new commentary, new commentators in German and Russian, and more than 900 new real chants sung in stadiums across the globe. BORRUSSIA-PARK in Mönchengladbach, El Monumental in Buenos Aires, and CenturyLink Field in Seattle make up three of the nine stadiums making their debut in FIFA 16, taking the total to more than 70 stadia in game. And the German Bundesliga gets an authentic presentation package in FIFA 16 synonymous with the league's television broadcast visuals, including score graphics, team sheets, and player analysis.

FIFA Ultimate Team also adds new broadcast presentation to give fans a unique experience from game-to-game. Dynamic commentary in FUT will now have commentators reacting to the stats and history of your club. FIFA 16 also sees the arrival of Legends Chemistry, which will increase chemistry links between legends and squad players, and eight new FIFA Ultimate Team Legends, only on Xbox.

In Career Mode, Pre-season Tournaments will help managers grow transfer budgets and get their team in good form ahead of competition that counts. Managers will select from three of nine tournaments presented at the start of each season before jumping into their domestic campaign. Player Training will assist in the development of youth and squad players in between matches. Fans will select from more than 30 drills and put up to five players through their paces to improve faster. This opens up new ways to play, especially for those managers looking to develop youth players and transfer them to other clubs.

The all new FIFA Trainer helps all fans Compete at a Higher Level by utilizing an optional, ground-breaking in-game training system which uses the context of the game to display controller options to the player. The trainer options will progress as the level of the trainer increases, which can be set to automatic or controlled manually.

FIFA 16 innovates across the entire pitch to deliver a balanced, authentic, and beautiful football experience. Fans who pre-order*** FIFA 16 can choose from Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe editions. The Super Deluxe edition offers up to 40 FIFA Ultimate Team Jumbo Premium Gold Packs, three FIFA Ultimate Team loan players for five games each, and two brand new celebrations from the EA SPORTS Football Club catalogue.

Adding to their arsenal of peak-performance networking products, the Killer E2400 from Rivet introduces Advanced Stream Detect 2.0 to offer the most cutting-edge network data detection and network optimization technology in the PC market today.

The E2400 provides additional intelligence by automatically detecting and prioritizing specific website traffic in addition to networked applications and games. By providing two additional network priority levels, Killer E2400 gives users six levels of prioritization to take full advantage of enhanced application and website detection. The adapter delivers industry-leading latency performance, outperforming the competition by up to 50 percent during single application usage and up to 10x faster when multitasking, offering more powerful network control, improved latency, reduced jitter and virtually eliminates video freezes so users can play, watch and stream games all at the same time.

The Killer E2400 also is able to work together with Killer Wireless products via Killer DoubleShot Pro technology, which uses both Killer Ethernet and Killer Wireless interfaces simultaneously to automatically route high priority traffic to the fastest connection.

For users that want the absolute best performance, DoubleShot-X3 Pro works in systems that have two Killer Gigabit Ethernet Controllers and one Killer Wireless-AC Adapter. DoubleShot-X3 Pro automatically identifies all traffic and sends high priority traffic over the fastest connection, standard traffic over the next fastest connection and bulk traffic over the remaining connection. DoubleShot-X3 combines the speed of two wired Killer Gigabit Ethernet controllers with the flexibility of Killer Wireless to provide max throughput as high as 2.867 Gbps.

The new Killer E2400 is being released in partnership with MSI and GIGABYTE, global leaders in gaming hardware. MSI will feature the E2400 on multiple Z170 motherboards, including the Z170A GAMING M9 ACK with Killer DoubleShot Pro. GIGABYTE is launching their Z170X-Gaming 7 and Z170X-Gaming GT both with E2400 while support for DoubleShot-X3 will be included in their new top of line Z170X-Gaming G1 motherboard.

"Rivet Networks prides itself on constantly raising the bar for both traffic detection and traffic prioritization to deliver the ultimate online experience", said Michael Cubbage, CEO at Rivet Networks. "GIGABYTE and MSI have both made superior networking performance a priority for their new motherboards and the new Killer E2400 will give their customers the absolute best online experience."

Killer E2400 Features:

  • Advanced Stream Detect 2.0 offers the most advanced network data detection available in consumer products today. Advanced Stream Detect 2.0 automatically classifies and prioritizes network traffic for online games, HD video and specific websites for better quality and fewer interruptions in a user's online experience
  • Lag and Latency Reduction Technology designed specifically to reduce latency and improve online gaming and HD video performance
  • Visual Bandwidth Control shows which applications and websites are monopolizing bandwidth and gives users the control to optimize performance by adjusting priorities and setting bandwidth limits so that low priority traffic doesn't interfere with multimedia applications or favorite websites
The Killer E2400 launch follows the June release of the Killer Wireless-AC 1535, a 2x2 802.11ac wireless adapter with ExtremeRange Technology. It features two external amplifiers plus full MU-MIMO and Transmit Beamforming support that extends intelligence and control while increasing wireless networking speed.

Unstoppable Power

Powered by the latest 6th Generation Intel Core i7-6700K processors, the Acer Predator G6-710 delivers maximum power by utilizing the massive potential of the Intel core, the latest Windows 10 OS, and a market-dominating 64 GB of DDR4 dual-channel memory. The "One-Punch" CPU overclocking capability is combined with the IceTunnel cooling system to keep the system chilled at excess speeds, giving players an overwhelming power boost to take them through any tricky in-game situation. Network connectivity comes in the way of super-speedy Wi-Fi 802.11ac. All of this is monitored and controlled from the PredatorSense control hub, which offers full running stats such as CPU clock rate, temperature, and the fan speed. Players can also adjust the lighting, fan and the overclock stage through the portal.

Paired with a matching high resolution monitor, such as the curved Predator X34 with G-SYNC technology, even the most demanding gamer can enjoy visuals with incredible detail free from lagging and stuttering.

Intimidating Visuals and Sound

The G6-710 comes with Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 - with Environmental Audio Extensions (EAX) 5.0 and 5.1 channel audio support - with new UI and customizable personal sound profile so users can tune the system to a new level of audio immersion. Whether on headphones, external speakers or the unit's audio hardware, the ability to clearly hear specific sounds in a gaming environment is key to the whole experience and it's just one of a few elements of SBX Pro Studio that supports optimum gaming, video and audio across the board. With four audio jacks, this unit is also perfect for group play.

All this is packed into a radically redesigned armour-like shell crafted to look the part of an unstoppable fighting machine. The casing allows for a bi-directional inflow of air to enable the IceTunnel cooling, and also houses the expansion slots (1 x PCI-E X16 slot, 2 x PCI-E X1 slots, 2 x M.2 slots), letting the beast support up to 12 TB of storage (expandable by a further 512 GB with SSD). Outfitted with the included SteelSeries APEX RAW keyboard, SteelSeries Sensei RAW gaming mouse and lavish USB port provision (6 x USB 3.0/ 2 x USB 2.0), there's ample room to add in any extra peripherals a gamer needs to annihilate the competition.
