Nuka Cola Quantum Will Be Available At Target
Those of us who are stateside will be able to get a Fallout-inspired beverage in the form of Nuka Cola Quantum, which should be available at your local Target and is reported to be "Berry Lemonade" flavored.

Drinking a Nuka-Cola Quantum will increase your Action Points by 20 for 4 minutes and your radiation by 10. Mixed in a tin can with Abraxo cleaner and turpentine, it creates a Nuka-grenade, which is much more powerful than normal grenades. Nuka-Cola addict and fanatic Sierra Petrovita has created a recipe in which mixing Nuka-Cola Quantum with flour and vodka makes a delicious pastry.

Leaked Slides Demonstrate Advantages Of GDDR5X Memory
AMD and Nvidia's upcoming cards may be equipped with GDDR5X memory, which is bringing some pretty substantial improvements to data rates.

GDDR5X may indeed help graphics card designers at AMD and Nvidia transition between GDDR5 and the energy efficient HBM. The newer, improved GDDR5X is a simple upgrade to graphics card makers offering the "same interface signal pin count". It requires only "limited effort" to upgrade the GDDR5 memory controller on existing designs, it offers reduced power consumption and, perhaps most importantly "takes performance to a new level".

Spoilery Details On Solo Batman Film And Villains
Rumors suggest that the Robin character(s) will play a pivotal role in the next Batman movie, which will likely reference two of the greatest dark knight storylines.

Red Hood will play a major role in it, especially for Bruce Wayne/Batman. A while back Latino Review ran a scoop that Red Hood was a "priority" character and that lines up with what we've heard as well. Our sources indicate that Red Hood will be a key player in the first new solo Batman film, which is said to be adapting both the "A Death in the Family" and "Under The Hood" storylines from the comics. Essentially, Red Hood is DC's answer to Marvel's Winter Soldier; former sidekicks gone evil and seeking a chance at redemption.

Ashes Of The Singularity Running On AMD And Nvidia Hardware Simultaneously
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together…mass hysteria! Check out this demonstration of AMD and Nvidia cards working in tandem for RTS game Ashes of the Singularity.

Note that in this case, the hardware obviously isn't configured for any kind of SLI passthrough — AMD doesn't use physical bridges the way Nvidia still does, and this kind of hardware wouldn't be able to take advantage of it, since the two company's use very different pinouts. Nevertheless, the rig works and works well.

Snapdragon 820 Might Have Overheating Problems
Qualcomm has officially denied this, but I think they said the same thing about the 810.

It is identical to the issues the Korean company had with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 processors last year. In that case Samsung decided not to use the SD810 in any of its high-end Android phones for 2015. Apparently walking away is not an option with the Galaxy S7, which we're expecting to see hit the market towards the beginning of next year.

Reports Of Surface Book And Surface Pro 4 Problems Proliferate
I'd like to think that these are just isolated incidents, as I'd hate to see Microsoft make a serious fumble after the momentum they've managed to achieve for their new Surface lineup.

There are reports of Surface Book freezes all over the Web. Tweetium Windows author, former developer at Microsoft and all-around guru Brandon Paddock @BrandonLive had a series of freezes and hangs with the laptop, at least some of which were apparently caused by the Intel graphics card.

Droid Turbo 2 Survives 70 Drops To Concrete Floor
The newest Droid is being touted for its shatterproof display, and here's a video that suggests its screen is truly unbreakable. I have a hunch that a handful of tests involving firearms are on the way, though.

Nintendo Unveils Its First Smartphone Game "Miitomo"
I'll just point out that Nintendo's share price dropped 10 percent immediately after its unveiling.

Miitomo is a "communication application that helps friends share fun personal facts and interests," the Japanese company said in a statement. Players will create avatars called Miis that they can use to engage with friends to learn more about each other and find common interests.

Twitch Creative Livestreams Talent Of Artists And Musicians
I think Twitch's Creative community has been around for some time, but the company officially announced its support this week by categorizing it with a new landing page, among other things. I am surprised that some other streaming service hasn't capitalized on the idea yet; it's cool seeing someone craft art from scratch.

All along, the Twitch community has included a determined community of artists, crafters and builders, who have been using Twitch to broadcast their creative processes. These creative broadcasters share many of the same characteristics as all Twitch broadcasters: passion, engagement, and a community-centric worldview.

Get Ready For "Spooky," The Halloween Asteroid
Spooky is an asteroid that will be passing Earth at around 1 p.m. EDT today. Astronomers are confident that it won't touch us, but a skull-resembling rock that ends the human race on Halloween would be an interesting scenario. Check the video for a TLDR version or hit this link for an in-depth editorial.

If the size is correct, the new found asteroid is 28 times bigger in diameter than the Chelyabinsk meteor that penetrated the atmosphere over Russia in February, 2013. An incoming asteroid's potential to do damage on Earth depends on various factors, including its size, its angle of entry, and the point on Earth over which it enters the atmosphere. The shock wave from the 2013 Chelyabinsk meteor broke windows and did other damage to some 7,200 buildings in six Russian cities. Some 1,500 people were injured seriously enough to seek medical treatment, mainly from broken glass from windows.

Intel Shows Off 3D XPoint Memory Performance
3D XPoint technology, which will be released under the Optane brand, is apparently living up to the performance alluded to by Intel back in the summer.

"We have been real careful to not show this with slides, but with working demos, because I want people to get excited and realize that this is coming," he said. "This isn't five years from now, this isn't two years from now. This is next year, and this is going to transform how we think about data and memory and storage."
