Already available in the US, the VAIO L all-in-one desktop boasting a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) 3D touchscreen will reach Europe in October, promising to deliver top-notch 3D entertainment.

Sony Ericsson readies the Xperia arc S smartphone
Mobile phone joint venture Sony Ericsson today announced the Xperia arc S, a tweaked version of the Xperia arc which has Android 2.3.4 pre-installed and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 chipset (the arc has a 1 GHz processor).

Samsung's Series 7 Windows slate gets detailed, to arrive in late September
While still keeping the Galaxy Tab 7.7 hidden, Samsung Electronics has decided to treat us to a goof view of another tablet, a slate actually which runs Windows 7 (Home Premium or Professional) and is expected to become available around the end of September.

Sony coming out with a 15.5-inch VAIO S Series laptop
This October will see to the addition of a new member to the VAIO S family of laptops, a 15.5-inch model which is less than an inch thick, features a casing made out of magnesium and aluminum, and is based on Intel's Huron River mobile platform.

Sony Tablet S goes on pre-sale, to ship in September
Sony's tablet offensive is almost upon us as the company has kicked off a pre-sale for the Tablet S model (previously known as the S1), promising to have it shipping to customers in the US and Canada sometime in September.

Sony reveals the Reader WiFi (PRS-T1) e-book reader
Sony today announced a new addition to its ereader line, the Reader WiFi (model PRS-T1) unit which weights just 6 ounces (170 grams) and features a 6-inch glare-free E-Ink Pearl V220 touchscreen, 2GB of built-in storage, WiFi support, and a battery life of over one month (three weeks with WiFi on).

OCZ introduces the RevoDrive Hybrid PCIe HDD/SSD combo
First seen at Computex in early June, OCZ's RevoDrive Hybrid storage solution which combines a PCIe solid state drive with a 2.5-inch hard drive, has today been launched, and should become available very soon, priced at $500.

HTC and Jetstream (aka Puccini) made official, launching on September 4th
HTC's first 10-inch tablet, previously known as Puccini, but officially called Jetstream, has finally been announced and was given a solid release date in the US - September 4th. This device will be available through AT&T's website and retail stores.

Samsung launches the S27A750D 3D gaming monitor
Samsung Electronics has just announced the European arrival of its S27A750D 27-inch monitor (part of the SyncMaster SA750 Series) which features a 120Hz panel enabling 3D viewing, LED backlighting, and a 10,000,000:1 Mega Dynamic Contrast Ratio.

Acer 'Ultrabook S3' gets listed in Italy, could be the Aspire 3951
Remember the Aspire 3951 laptop exposed earlier this month? You know, the all-aluminum, 13mm-thick model. Well it seems the ultra-thin machine is crawling back into the spotlight but under a different name - Ultrabook S3.

Two Asus ET2410INTS All-in-One PCs inbound Europe
For mid-September Asus has scheduled the European release of a new all-in-one PC, the ET2410INTS model which runs Windows 7 Professional (64bit), and features a 23.6-inch (1920 x 1080) LED-backlit touchscreen, and the SonicMaster technology for delivering a top-notch audio experience.

Opera 11.51 outed, packs fixes, full screen support in Mac OS X Lion
The first update for Opera 11.50 (codename Swordfish) has been released today for Windows, Mac OS and Linux, and it brings multiple bug and security fixes, a few tweaks, as well as support for full screen mode in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.

HTC Runnymede said to come with 4.7-inch screen, Beats headphones
Beside 'Vigor', HTC's first wave of Beats-enhanced smartphones reportedly also includes a model called Runnymede which runs Android 2.3.4 (with the Sense 3.5 UI on top), features SRS Surround technology, two microphones, and comes bundled with a pair of Beats headphones.

Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi to merge their small LCD panel businesses
In an effort to cut costs and give Sharp and Samsung a solid slap, Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi, together with Innovation Network Corp. (which is owned by the Japanese government) have agreed on a plan to form the biggest manufacturer of small size LCD panels.

MSI debuts the A55M-P35 FM1 motherboard
MSI today announced its first motherboard powered by the AMD A55 chipset, the A55M-P35. This model has a micro ATX form factor, supports FM1 APUs (accelerated processing units), and includes the OC Genie II one-click overclocking function.

Gigabyte details its Ultra Durable 4 Classic motherboard technology
In its continuous effort to differentiate its products from the competition, Gigabyte has developed the fourth-generation Ultra Durable technology which is focused on ensuring motherboards have a long and relatively trouble-free life.

Samsung Omnia W Windows Phone said to pack 1.4 GHz chip, NFC
According to a tweeting report, Samsung's incoming Omnia W smartphone will not only sport the new Mango-flavored version of Windows Phone, but will also come equipped with a 1.4 GHz (likely single-core) processor, and have support for near field communication (NFC).

Zotac's E-350-packing ZBox nano going on sale (in Japan) next week
If all goes smooth, fresh and clean then at the start of next week Zotac will kick off (in Japan) sales of its newest ZBox mini PC, the ZBox nano. This model is based around AMD's Brazos platform and is powered by the E-350 APU with two 1.6 GHz Bobcat cores and Radeon HD 6310 DirectX 11 graphics.

Samsung unveils the Series 7 'Chronos' performance laptops - update
Samsung Electronics has now officially introduced Chronos, a new line of laptops part of the Series 7 family which includes 15.6-inch (14-inch body) and 14-inch (13.3-inch body) models with aluminum casings, SuperBright displays, and batteries that last for up to 9 hours per charge.

MeeGo-powered Acer Aspire 5749 laptop gets listed in Germany
Don't panic but we have another MeeGo sighting. The operating system has been seen mentioned in the specifications of a new Acer laptop, the 15.6-inch Aspire 5749-2334G50Mikk, which can be found on Amazon.de bearing a pretty low price tag - €399.

Samsung Galaxy S II coming to the US via AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile
It's official folks, Samsung's Galaxy S II flagship will finally arrive on US soil this fall through three carriers, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The unit offered by AT&T will have a 4.3-inch touchscreen like the 'original', while the variants from Sprint and T-Mobile have a 4.52-inch screen.

Scythe releasing the Ninja 3 Silent Version CPU cooler
Scythe has now launched a 'silent version' of its Ninja 3 CPU cooler which is slightly lighter than the original version due to the use of a Slip Stream 120mm fan that operates at 800 RPM (rotations per minute) and has a sound output of just 10.70 dBA.

HP starts selling the Pro 3400 Series business desktop
HP has this week added a new business PC to its product portfolio, the Pro 3400 Series desktop which comes enclosed in a micro tower chassis, has Sandy Bridge power, and runs Windows 7 (Home Premium or Professional) or FreeDOS.

Razer debuts the BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition gaming keyboard
After making its entrance into the gaming laptop market last week, Razer is going back to its roots a bit to announced a new gaming peripheral, the BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth Edition mechanical keyboard.

Motorola Pro+ Android 2.3 smartphone coming in October
As announced today by Motorola Mobility, an updated version of the Droid Pro smartphone is currently in the works and will be released in October under the name Pro+. Unfortunately, not much has changed in terms of hardware from one device to the other but at least the Pro+ has Android 2.3 running.

Lancool intros the PC-K9 Series mid-tower PC cases
The Lancool team has today announced a new addition to its PC chassis offer, the PC-K9 Series which includes three similarly specced mid-tower gaming cases, the PC-K9A (black/silver exterior and interior), PC-K9X (black exterior and interior) and PC-K9XW (all-black plus side window).

Corsair rolls out 180GB and 240GB Force Series GT solid state drives
Corsair has just announced the addition of two new models to its Force Series GT family of SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drives, 180GB and 240GB units which are capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 555 MB/s and 525 MB/s, respectively.

Lian Li unveils the PC-90 full tower PC case
Lian Li has now introduced to the world its latest all-aluminum creation, a full-tower PC chassis called PC-90 (aka The Hammer) which features an interesting mounting system for HDDs/SSDs - two vertical trays on the left side that can hold up to six 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives.

TDK launches the Signature Sound series headphones
TDK Corp. has today launched under its TDK Life on Record brand no less than four new, high-grade headphones, the Signature Sound series BA200, BA100 and EB950 in-ear phones, and the ST700 on-ear phones.

Windows 8 to offer ISO and VHD file mounting out of the box
With Windows 8 Microsoft seems to be doing a lot of work to lower the user's need for third-party software. To achieve that the Redmond-based company is adding extra functionality to its operating system, like the ability to mount ISO and VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) right from Windows Explorer.

Active Media Products releases the SaberTooth M1 mSATA solid state drives

Klipsch readies the Image S4A in-ear headphones for Android devices

Samsung announced three bada 2.0-based smartphones
South Korea's Samsung Electronics has today taken the veil off the first three smartphones running its proprietary bada 2.0 platform, the Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y. All three models will be on display at IFA 2011 in Berlin (September 2-7).

Trillian 5.1 beta released, brings Skype integration, revamped chat history
Cerulean Studios has now made available a public beta build of its Trillian 5.1 all-in-one messaging software for Windows. This is the first major update for Trillian 5 and it brings 'native' Skype integration (the SkypeKit SDK was put to good use) as well as other goodies, plus lots of bug fixes.

Chrome 15.0.865.0 available in the Dev channel
It's time to check the Chrome Dev channel again as a new test build of Google's browser has been made available for all three major PC platforms - Windows, Mac OS and Linux. This latest release is known as 15.0.865.0 but some users will get the 15.0.865.1000 built boasting 'different optimizations'.

Windows 8 file explorer to have Office-like ribbon
