MSI releases the A75MA-G55 (FM1) motherboard for Llano APUs
No A-Series (Llano) APU available just yet? Apparently that's no problem for MSI who already release a motherboard that supports such chips, the A75MA-G55. This board has a micro ATX form factor and, as expected, is powered by the A75 chipset.

Asus started this week by saying nice things about the latest additions to its ASUSPro notebook line, the 13.3-inch P31S and 14-inch P41S models which are based around Intel's Huron River platform and are designed so as to withstand tougher environments.

Asus said to be rolling out its slim Eee PC X101 netbook next month
Not even a month has passed since its unveiling but the Eee PC X101 netbook is claimed to be ready for its time in the spotlight. This new, slim (17.6mm) and light (950 grams) Eee PC model is supposed to go on sale in July in two versions - one running MeeGo and one with Windows 7 pre-installed.

Hoping to continue its good streak, Taiwanese manufacturer ASRock has prepared a strong offer for AMD's incoming A-Series APUs (accelerated processing units) which consists of no less than five motherboards (two ATX and three micro ATX) based around the AMD A75 chipset.

Intel releases the non-extreme Core i7-980 hexa-core CPU
The Core i7-980X Extreme Edition processor may have been taken off Intel's menu (although it's still available for orders until September 30th) but now another, very similar hexa-core chip has taken its place, offering pretty much the same performance for a lower price tag.

Fujitsu says LifeBook TH40/D tablet PC is not yet ready for release
Previously announced as a late June release (in Japan at least), the LifeBook TH40/D tablet PC from Fujitsu has suffered a delay, with no new launch plans being provided as of yet. The LifeBook TH40/D is Fujitsu's first mobile device based around Intel's Oak Trail platform.
