Turtle Beach reveals the PX3 and Z6A gaming headsets
Elmsford-based audio peripheral maker Turtle Beach has today revealed to the world its newest gamer-focused creations bearing the Ear Force brand, the PlayStation 3-oriented PX3 wireless stereo headset and the Z6A surround sound headset.

NZXT debuts the HAVIK 140 CPU cooler
Another day, another product release from NZXT, this time we're talking about a high-performance CPU cooler called HAVIK 140 which which is supposed to offer top performance at relatively low sound levels (25dB).

Asetek WaterChill 2011C liquid CPU cooler set to ship in August
First seen at CeBIT, back in March, Asetek's (limited edition) WaterChill 2011C liquid CPU cooler, is scheduled to become available for pre-orders on July 1st, and will actually begin shipping to buyers as of early August.

Nvidia serves up the GeForce 275.33 WHQL-certified driver
Nvidia has now made available a new graphics driver to feature Microsoft's WHQL stamp of approval, one GeForce 275.33 which comes with support for support for GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 Series desktops cards (including the GTX 560) and for ION GPUs.

Sparkle going into the tablet business, brings first device to Computex
Nvidia-exclusive add-in card maker Sparkle Computer is going with the mobile device flow and plans to release an Android tablet in the second half of this year. Sparkle's first tablet is named Calibre X-Pad and, unsurprisingly, it is powered by Nvidia's Tegra 2 SoC.

Thermaltake shows off Frio Extreme CPU cooler at Computex
One of the many treats on display at Thermaltake's Computex booth is the Frio Extreme, the company's newest high-end CPU cooler which is can handle Intel LGA1366, LGA1555/1156, LGA775 and AMD AM2(+), AM3(+) chips and has a cooling capacity of 250W.

Logitech launches a line of colorful peripherals
Logitech is set on painting your desk... in many, many colors, and to do that it developed a whole range of peripherals that have a colorful and eye-catching coating. The first products in the new Color Collection are a wireless keyboard (K360), two wireless mice (M235 and M325) and a webcam (C270).

Buffalo to release two more SSD-NS/MC400 series SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs
Launched last week with only one member (a 256GB model) Buffalo's SSD-NS/MC400 series of SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drives, is now set to be added two more units, 64GB and a 512GB SSDs which are capable of read and write speeds of up to 405 MB/s and 223 MB/s, respectively.

Asus' Eee PC 1025C (Cedar Trail-based) netbook gets detailed
Asus has more than confirmed its support for the upcoming Intel Cedar Trail platform by revealed at Computex a few netbooks based on it. One of the machines prepared is the Eee PC 1025C which features a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display and will be powered by a 32nm Atom CPU (N2600 or N2800).

Sharkoon rolls out the Flexi-Drive Ultimate USB 3.0 flash drive
Sharkoon has now announced the addition of a new Flexi-Drive series flash drive to its offer, that of the Flexi-Drive Ultimate model which makes use of a single-chip USB3.0 controller and an 8-channel design, and delivers read and write speeds of up to 200 MB/s and 120 MB/s, respectively.

Catering to the video calling needs of today's PC users, Creative Technology has introduced a webcam called Live! Cam inPerson HD which packs a H.264 video encoding processor that ensures smooth, glitch-free HD video even when connected to lower-end systems.

Acer Aspire One 722 Brazos netbook ships in Europe
Acer has now rolled out in Europe its Aspire One 722 netbook which runs Windows 7 Home Premium, features an 11.6-inch (1366 x 768) display and is powered by an AMD C-50 APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) with two x86 cores clocked at 1GHz and Radeon HD 6250 (DirectX 11) integrated graphics.

Alleged BlackBerry PlayBook 2 details surface
More reports of a 10-inch tablet made by a Research In Motion (RIM) have surfaced and they claim that said device will indeed be released in time for the holidays under the name BlackBerry PlayBook 2.

Lenovo to expand its presence in Europe with Medion AG purchase
Looking for that extra boost in the PC market, Lenovo has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Medion AG, a German company with a portfolio that includes PCs, consumer electronics and multimedia products.

AMD shows off 2012-bound Trinity APU, leaves Llano for mid-June
Bulldozer was pushed into Q3, the Llano launch is scheduled for mid-June, so what does AMD really have to show off this Computex? Well, beside the 9 Series chipsets, the company introduced the Z Series APUs for tablets and teased a product that's set for a 2012 release, the Trinity APU.

On display at Computex one can find Antec's newest power supply line which is known as High Current Gamer Plus (they are based on the non-modular High Current Gamer PSUs) and includes three modular (not fully modular) units, all featuring an 80Plus Bronze certification.

ECS introduces its first AM3+ motherboard, the A990FXM-A
ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) joined the Bulldozer club this week by announcing its own motherboard capable of supporting AMD's upcoming 4- to 8-core processors, the A990FXM-A (it's part of the company's Black Series).

AMD says Bulldozer CPUs set for 'late summer' release
The long-awaited processors based on the Bulldozer architecture have pretty much been officially delayed (again), as AMD revealed that the chips will not be available until late summer, August most likely.

New IceQ-ed Radeon HD 6970 does Eyefinity 3 without DisplayPort
Despite the fact that it only recently announced two IceQ Radeon HD 6970 cards, at Computex board maker HIS is showing off another such card, the HD 6970 IceQ Mix which allows users to make three-display Eyefinity setups without using DisplayPort monitors.

AMD starts shipping the Z-01 tablet-friendly APU (codenamed Desna)
Hoping to give Intel some serious competition in the x86 tablet space, AMD has launched a new, low-power (5.9W TDP) APU (accelerated processing unit) family known as the Z Series (Desna). The first chip in this line is the Z-01 and has already begun shipping.

OCZ details the first Indilinx-based SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drive
As promised, OCZ has this week revealed the very first SATA 6.0 Gbps solid state drive controller of its most recent purchase, Indilinx. The chip in question is being pushed as part of the Everest platform which is aimed towards the enterprise market.

Philips introduces the 273E3LSB gaming monitor
Philips has now launched in Europe the E-line 273E3LSB, a multimedia and gaming-craving 27-inch monitor which features a W-LED backlight and a response time of only 1ms grey-to-grey (3.5ms typical).

Acer's first Windows Phone device, the W4, seen at Computex
Acer's adoption of the Windows Phone platform seem to finally be bearing fruit as as Computex the PC maker has on display a smartphone powered by Microsoft's software. Named W4, the phone is supposed to come with Windows Phone 7 Mango (7.1) so it should be released sometime this fall.

NZXT also releases the FX Series case fans
Beside the Source 210 cases, NZXT today introduced a couple of new case fans, the FX Fan Series FX 120LB (120mm) and FX 140LB (140mm) which feature a fluid dynamic bearing and a built-in 3-phase fan speed controller.

NXZT rolling out the Source 210 (Elite) budget gaming cases
NZXT today introduced two new additions to its Classic Series of PC cases, the entry-level gaming mid-towers known as Source 210 and Source 210 Elite. Both of these cases weight in 6.5kg, have a steel structure and come in two colors - black and white.
