QNap TS-219P+ Network Attached Storage Review Review @ PCSTATS
"The Sapphire HD5850 Xtreme is a low-cost and powerful DX11 option. The Sapphire HD5850 Xtreme uses an original cooler design that is significantly quieter and cooler than the loud blower-style fan used on stock HD5850 designs. The Sapphire HD5850 has 1440 stream processors and 72 texture units with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, able to handle even the latest DirectX11 games. Although the HD5850 Xtreme edition comes with one less DVI port and one less CrossFireX connector, it is priced below $150 USD, offering huge savings compared to regular HD5850 video cards, while out-performing an NVIDIA card at the same price range."

ASRock E350M1 AMD Fusion APU Motherboard @ PCSTATS
"Unless you've been living under a rock, you would know that the release of the Catalyst 11.4s has been anticipated as one of the most significant ones from AMD in many months. We've actually been using the 11.4 driver for months in the form of the HD 6990 Beta and new models that launched after the HD 6990 carried with them slightly modified versions of the 11.4.
Today, though, we've got a WHQL version and we'll of course be comparing it to the 11.3 driver which while we thought was better than the 11.2s, wasn't as much of a stand out as the 11.4 betas that we'd been using."

GIGABYTE G1.Assassin gaming motherboard @ PCSTATS
Today's review sample is the ASRock E350M1, which as the name indicates is an AMD E350 Fusion APU with the Hudson-M1 (A50M) FCH. This is an mITX desktop board aimed at anyone interested in building a powerful, yet power conservative, HTPC or Nettop system. With the dual-core 1600MHz E350 being fused together with a Radeon HD 6310 GPU, it makes for the perfect platform with enough horse power for either task. Should you want to make a light TV gaming machine, a digital TV box for DVR, or want the best sound possible for your movies, then there is also a full length PCIe slot that can be filled with a discrete card to match your needs. Having four internal SATA-III ports could easily turn the E350M1 into a massive storage DVR or media storage HTPC. Join us as we see what this little APU equipped board is made of and what it is capable of handling.

Crucial Unleashes the M4 SATA 3 SSD To The Public @ PCSTATS
Welcome to our follow up of the LSI 9265-8i MegaRAID Card, an eight-port PCI Express SATA+SAS RAID Controller that is configured for 6Gb/s devices. Our first LSI review concentrated on RAID 0 speed and performance and the response prompted our further testing of the LSI in a RAID 5 environment. Take a look as we explore the in-depth the performance of the 9265 as it tackles an array of 8 solid state drives.
RAID 0 is the 'big dog' when it comes to flat out performance. In previous generation RAID cards, the maximum sequential throughput and random I/O would make it impossible to match the speed of RAID 0 with a RAID 5 setup. The stage is changing, however, as the dual core ROC LSI2208 of the the 9265 raises RAID 5 performance to new levels.

Coolermaster Storm SF-19 Strike Force battles high notebook temperatures @ PCSTATS
Just a quick note to pass on that the Crucial M4 SSDs, as reviewed here, have been released to the public as of this morning and can be purchased from Crucial direct by following this link! Of particular interest just might be the pricing as we are seeing great prices for the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB at $129, $299 and $499 mark which seems to be a low for the new gen SATA 3 family.
Prices have gone up a bit since their original estimate (shown below) but this SSD is still the lowest available for generation, performance and price. In fact, the Crucial M4 512GB SSD comes in at around $999 where its competition can be found at Newegg in the 480GB capacity for $1899.

XFX Pro Series Core Edition Power Supplies @ PCSTATS
"The one thing that worried me is when bench testing using the Flash Memory Toolkit, the drive casing became quite hot, too hot to touch at one point. While this did not happen during regular use, if you are doing a large volume transfer there is a possibility that your drive will heat up so I would use caution. The fact that the casing is made of aluminum could be the reason for the higher external temperature since the drive does employ a quad channel design on the inside and the case is acting as a passive cooler for the chips."

"The XFX Pro Series Core Edition power supplies performed very well across the range. The DC voltage load regulation was excellent from 20% to 100% DC loading and in combination with very low AC ripple/noise levels means excellent DC quality on all rails on all three power supplies. The 3V3 and 5V0 rails dipped a little lower than I would have liked but they still remained well within the limits set down by the ATX12V V2.2 specification and won’t prove to be a problem when the biggest dip below ideal rail voltage was only 0.09V."

HIS HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo X Video Card @ PCSTATS
"The AXLE GT 430 performed great. It didn't overclock past the ASUS variant, but it did run with a lower temperature while operating approximately as quiet as the CPU heat sink fans. The gaming potential is there somewhat, as long as graphics quality or frame rate isn't important — minimalism is key for gaming with this. High definition content handling is a great use for this card, as it is tailored to media workloads. This card also works great as a dedicated PhysX processor and can take the load off the CPU when decoding media content, while also completing the job faster!"

Radeon HD 6790 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti @ PCSTATS
HIS HD 6870 Turbo cards are factory overclocked with a warranty. Now let me clarify something here. I said the HIS HD 6870 Turbo which is what we reviewed recently. HIS's Turbo X takes things to an entirely new level. The HD 6870 reference clock is 900MHz on the core and 4.2GHz on the memory. The HIS Turbo version of that card tweaks things to 920MHz on the core and 4.48GHz on the GDDR5 memory. With the IceQ X cooler, HIS takes things to the X level and jacks their card up to 975MHz on the core and 4.6GHz on the memory. That's quite a bump.
