Some two months after its unveiling the SlimStar 8000 wireless desktop combo from Genius has begun to reach stores in US and Canada. This new peripheral package includes a black mouse and keyboard, both of which use 2.4GHz wireless technology to communicate to PCs (via an USB adapter).

Global chip sales up 14% on-year in January
2011 started pretty good for the semiconductor market, with the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reporting that chip sales in January were of $25.5 billion, 1.5% higher compared to December, and 14% over January 2010.

South Korean company Hard Kernel is lending a hand to fellow countryman Samsung by preparing a 10-inch tablet powered by the latter's Exynos 4210 dual-core processor. The unnamed device targets developers interested in making apps for the Exynos chip (which is found in the Galaxy S II).

AMD said to be releasing eight 'Bulldozer' processors in June
AMD kicked off 2011 by introducing its first Fusion chips (Zacate and Ontario) but the company's the real goodies for this year are expected in Q2, with reports claiming that the awaited 'Bulldozer' processors will begin shipping in the week of June 20th.
