Netflix Kicks Off Original Film Initiative October 16th
The first of four Netflix original movies will air on October 16th. The other three movies, one from Adam Sandler, will air on or before March 2016.
Netflix announced today the rollout of its original film initiative with Beasts of No Nation, the powerful new film written and directed by Emmy Award winner Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Sin Nombre) and starring Golden Globe® winner Idris Elba (Luther, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) that will debut Friday, October 16, 2015 worldwide on Netflix, in all territories where the world’s leading Internet TV network is available, and on the same day in select U.S. theaters. U.S. film distribution company Bleecker Street will partner with Netflix to distribute the film to theaters.

Japan Is Building Solar Farms On Abandoned Golf Courses
I guess this is better than letting all those abandon golf courses go to waste.
Last week, Kyocera and its partners announced they had started construction on a 23-megawatt solar plant project located on an old golf course in the Kyoto prefecture. Scheduled to go operational in September 2017, it will generate a little over 26,000 megawatt hours per year, or enough electricity to power approximately 8,100 typical local households. The electricity will be sold to a local utility.

Facebook To Build New Data Center In Texas
Hey, if you are going to build something big, Texas has plenty of room to do it.
Facebook will invest at least $500 million in the global data center, a spokesperson said, and will employ at least 40 full-time employees. The center will also be powered entirely by renewable energy, Tom Furlong, Facebook's vice president of infrastructure, wrote in a blog post.

Another Phantom Console Surfaces On The Internet
I'm not sure why the unearthing of another Phantom console is making news today, we gave you an in-depth look into one almost 11 years ago. I guess you could say we cracked one open twice if you count this:
Some quick Internet sleuthing doesn't turn up any information or photos of any similar Phantom prototypes after the fall of Infinium; these design mockups of the console's shell that popped up in 2010 might be the closest thing. We reached out to a couple of avid game collectors who are constantly looking for rarities like this, and neither of them had ever seen a Phantom prototype out in the wild. The collector that brought this machine in to Schlesinger may have a one-of-a-kind item on his hands.
