Computex 2015 - We've just told you about the new Zotac Steambox ZBOX SN970 on display and now here's another beastly Intel and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970m powered beast in the shape of this red and black ZBOX EN970.

The ZOTAC ZBOX EN970 comes complete with an Intel Core i5 5200u Broadwell processor, one mSATA storage drive, a single 2.5-inch HDD and yet again features four HDMI output ports, this time specified as running at HDMI 2.0.

The ZOTAC SteamBox now pictured
Computex 2015 - We have just come across ZOTAC's rendition of the Steambox, the powerful ZBOX SN970.

Complete with an Intel 6th Generation "Skylake" CPU, this product is set to be released in November and features two DDR3-1600 SO-DIM RAM slots, a single 2.5" SATA 6 Gb/s port for a HDD or SSD, dual gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

This product comes out of the box with four HDMI output ports, SteamOS preloaded, a Steam Controller, a 1TB HDD, a 128GB M.2 SSD, 8GB of DDR3 memory and a powerful NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphical processor.

The CRYORIG Pi is an Internet of Things power supply
Computex 2015 - Following its all-in-one liquid cooling announcement, CRYORIG has also unveiled its Internet of Things power supply, the CRYORIG Pi.

CRYORIG unveils its A Series of hybrid liquid coolers
Computex 2015 - The new A40, A40 Ultimate and A80 Hybrid Liquid Cooling (HLC) units by CRYORIG claim to combine "the strength of both Air Cooling and Liquid Cooling in an innovative package" as announced live at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan.

These three new HLC's boast improved airflow over competitors, citing this as a wide spread issue solved by none other than themselves, adding that temperature drops for your RAM and video card can be experienced by improving your CPU cooling capacity.

Attached to these coolers is CRYORIG's own patent pending Airflow Circulator Fan, described as a 3,000 RPM PWM control enabled 70mm fan.

Patriot expanding its portfolio, releasing new gaming peripherals
Patriot has launched its Viper line of gaming peripherals, featuring two mice, a gaming headset and a mechanical keyboard.

The V760 Viper keyboard features full spectrum LED, anti-ghosting and a 16.8 million color rate, while providing customization for each gamer. In addition, Patriot included six programmable macro keys and 12 multimedia keys that can be customized for your RPG and FPS gaming needs.

Antec unveils its new Signature Line of Premium Chassis at Computex
Computex 2015 - Antec has just unveiled its new Signature Series line of Premium Chassis, with the company spending over one year in development on the new chassis, with a never-before-seen internal structure.

Starting with a new look, the Signature Series starts with the flagship S10, a return to Antec's roots in "distinctive craftsmanship". Antec has used aluminum and premium materials in this elite chassis, with a smooth front panel which is highlighted by the fact that it doesn't feature external drive bays. This provides a "seamless and fluid exterior" on the S10, with opposing side doors in brushed aluminum (on the S10), or tempered glass (on the S10G).

Inside, Antec has provided a new and completely unique Three Chamber Design, which uses atmospheric pressure and isolation, with each chamber creates a thermal zone that has its own regulation system. Patriot launches its EP Pro microSDHC/SDXC with 4K UHD in mind
4K lovers rejoice, there has been a myriad of products released for you in the last few weeks with many more to come. The latest installment is that of these Patriot EP Pro microSDHC/SDXC 4k capable cards.

Boasting 95MB/s read and 80MB/s write speeds, this card is capable of Full HD, Ultra HD and 4K2K live capture, marketed as "ideal for the extreme sports enthusiast, outdoorsmen and professional photographer" in a recently issued press release.

ASUS appeals to audio lovers with three STRIX 7.1 sound cards
Computex 2015 - STRIX is something you're going to see much more of in the future as it seems this family is ASUS' new series of champion products. The latest addition to this lot is that of these three high-end 7.1 channel audio cards.

Named the STRIX RAID DLX, the STRIX RAID Pro and the STRIX Soar, these cards are all fairly similar in specification with slight differences.

All three cards are based on one design, with the DAC component containing a native-PCIe multi-CODEC audio controller connector to an ESS SABRE 9006a DAC, dedicated to the front audio port with 116 dBA SNR and a 110 dBA SNR DAC connected to your main headphone amplifier.

The RAID DLX features a higher quality SABRE 9016a on the front-out DAC.

ASUS boasts 600Ω impedance headphone support and software like Sonic Radar which claims to help you pinpoint enemies based on sound and honestly looks like an in-game cheat - we're interested to see if eSports companies start banning it soon.

ASUS joins the party with the X99M-WS micro-ATX motherboard
Computex 2015 - We've just posted news of the new GIGABYTE mATX motherboard, helping show that the world is currently crazy about either super big or super small. ASUS has now joined the party with its higher specified X99M-WS micro-ATX offering with other applications in mind.

Supporting a LGA2011v3 socket based on the Intel X99 Express chipset, this new offering is powered by a single 24-pin ATX and two 8-pin EPS plugs. There's also an optional 6-pin PCIe power port, depending on how you put this beast to use.



ASUS says that this motherboard will be the most powerful of its kind in this category, boasting 128GB quad-channel DDR4 memory support across the four total slots.

There's two PCI-E 3.0 x16 slots on offer alongside a silence PCI-E 2.0 x16 slot and one PCI-E 2.0 x1 port. As for storage you can expect either SATA 6 Gb/s ports paired with a single 32 Gb/s M.2 offering.

Connection is where this motherboard really shines, options include two USB 3.1 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, two gigabit Ethernet ports with Intel controllers, 802.11 ac WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, 8-channel HD audio, ground-layer insulation and audio-grade capacitors to boot.

ADATA SE730 Portable USB 3.1 SSD Review - Taste of USB 3.1 performance

Since the release of USB, it has been the most universally accepted methods of connecting devices ever, and not just for PCs. Nearly every modern device has some sort of USB port to allow connectivity of that device. With the launch of USB 3.0 in 2010, performance and several storage technologies were added allowing users incredible performance for their external solutions. Now just five short years later, USB 3.1 is here and is sure to catch on quick.

Several motherboard vendors including ASUS, who graciously sent us a motherboard so we could test future products, and even Apple, have released products enabling USB 3.1 devices. With that said, today we take our first look at USB 3.1 with the ADATA DashDrive Elite SE730 Portable SSD.

The ADATA SE730 is part of the DashDrive Elite lineup, and while you won't find this product in store just yet, ADATA will be showing this solution off at Computex 2015 in Taipei this week. Our sample was delivered in the 512GB capacity featuring a Type C connection on the drive, while the cable offers the translation between it and the standard Type A we are used to seeing on today's solutions.

At this time, ADATA hasn't published and MSRP or warranty information for the drive.

As our sample was a preview solution, we had no retail packaging. With that said, our SE730 was delivered with a Type A to Type C cable.

Above, we have a closer look at the cable. The reversible or Type C connection is on the left with the standard blue colored connection on the right.

Looking over the drive, the enclosure is similar to the SE700 that was shown off at CES. The front edge of the drive houses a small LED and Type C connection.

The internals of the drive house a Silicon Motion powered SSD with NAND branded as ADATA.

Here we have an image of the USB 3.1 to SATA Bridge from Asmedia the ASM1351.

For a baseline measurement, I decided to see what the SE730 did over USB 3.0. As you can see, we managed pretty good numbers with 412 MB/s read and 411 MB/s write.

Switching over to USB 3.1, we did get a slight boost in performance with read coming in at 466 MB/s and write at 431 MB/s. By far the largest increase in performance came with random data where previously we reached 27 MB/s in write operations, and now touched 85 MB/s and adding in a queue depth of 32 bumps it to 100 MB/s.

With those initial results, I couldn't wait to see how well the SE730 was going to stack up against the competition. As you can see, it's certainly the quickest portable SSD we have tested in our charts.

While the ADATA SE730 wasn't able to take full advantage of the new freedom that USB 3.1 now allows, it was able to squeeze a few more MB/s out of the device. While our unit was a pre-production sample, it seemed to be built well, but of course with units like these, we don't full heartedly know what the retail sample will have internally.

Performance of the drive was top notch and even took over top honour in our charts as the quickest external SSD tested to this point. In testing, we were able to reach some rather good read and write numbers upwards of 466 MB/s read and 430 MB/s write, but out of all testing, the most impressive is the ability for these devices to now take advantage even more so than what we saw with USB 3.0 with command queuing. In our random testing this really showed up as the drive was only able to produce 27 MB/s write under USB 3.0, while moving it to USB 3.1 boosted those numbers upwards of 100 MB/s.

Overall, the ADATA SE730 is a solid solution for those wanting the very latest technology, as of this time there is no concrete data on the product, but we are sure after Computex this week, more will emerge.

SanDisk Delivers New 2TB SATA SSD Optimized for Cloud Data Services
SanDisk Corporation, a global leader in flash storage solutions, at Computex Taipei 2015 today announced its new CloudSpeed Eco Gen. BearGames is looking for team members to join them in creating some really cool and exciting games. For junior developers working in a student studio is a great way to broaden your games industry network, have some fun and create content for a portfolio.

There are three team members in BearGames, the team are looking to expand to produce more work and complete their games. The team are currently working on a strategy spaceship game and have some huge plans for the future. In Particular BearGames is looking for team members with skills in: Development, Artistry/Animation and Music.

We spoke with team leader, Daniel Bartlett, 18, from Trowbridge, Wiltshire, to find out more about his journey in games, experiences so far on Train2Game, the studio and the games they are working on.

"I realised I wanted to study game design when I would be sat in class or in my room thinking of ideas for games. And when I played games I would always be thinking 'how could this game be better?'"

"Then one day searching through the internet to see how easy it was to become a games designer, I came across the Train2Game website. I liked what I saw so applied. A month later I had a phone call saying someone will be round to make sure this is what and then I started."

"Studying Games Design at Train2Game is great because I study when I want and at my own pace. But when I get to a point I get stuck on, other students help me more than the tutor team does!"

"My team is called BearGames. We are currently made up of three people: me as the Games Designer, Finance, Marketing and Leader. Macaulay Tennant as the developer who I met on the 2014 fun day on Minecraft, Fabio Rodrigues as artist and animator who I recruited from the Train2Game FB page."

"Both of them are great people and we are all great friends that can have a laugh and play games together. We are currently looking for another Developer and Artist/Animator to help on the work load and most importantly we need someone who is good at sounds and music."
