UN report: Encryption backdoors violate the human rights of Web users
Encryption is vital to free speech and government efforts to install backdoors prove to be a violation of human rights against Internet users. The UN report says encryption and Internet anonymity allow for a privacy buffer so they can share their views without the fear of being censored.

un-report-encryption-backdoors-violate-human-rights-web-users
There is an effort by the United States, UK and other governments to create backdoors - which could also allow cybercriminals to access information - in an effort to aid law enforcement. If an agency needs to view and monitor encrypted messages, it should only be done on a "case-by-case" basis, and shouldn't be required for the majority of users.

The report will be presented in front of the UN Human Rights Council sometime next month.

"Such protection must include the right to a remedy for a violation," according to the report. "In order for the right to a remedy to be meaningful, individuals must be given notice of any compromise of their privacy through, for instance, weakened encryption or compelled disclosure of user data."

High-profile defector says North Korean cyberattacks could kill
Organized hackers in North Korea have the ability to launch cyberattacks against critical infrastructure and could even potentially lead to casualties, according to a high-profile defector. Professor Kim Heung-Kwang, a former computer science professor at the Hamheung Computer Technology University, helped teach some students that eventually joined the Bureau 121 hacker group.

high-profile-defector-north-korean-cyberattacks-kill
North Korea has around 6,000 well-trained hackers - suspected of operating inside of China - with an estimated 10 to 20 percent of the nation's military spending directed towards online cyber operations.

"The reason North Korea has been harassing other countries is to demonstrate that North Korea has cyber war capacity," Prof. Kim told BBC Click. "Their cyberattacks could have similar impacts as military attacks, killing people and destroying cities."

Many cybersecurity experts believe the threat from North Korea is overblown, while others admit that it's a problem that must be closely monitored.

We must be ready to regulate possibly lethal autonomous robots
Unmanned drones and other military vehicles aren't new, and it looks like robots and autonomous hardware could be the future. However, there are legal and ethical questions when it comes to weapons systems that are able to identify and engage targets with no human interaction.

ready-regulate-possibly-lethal-autonomous-robots
The idea that a robot or drone can detect its target and begin firing at the target without a human operator is frightening - but something that more researchers believe is feasible. There is a concern, however, that robots would be unable to accurately identify enemy combatants and civilians. Though there is a counter-argument that robots would cause less collateral damage than humans remotely operating the drones.

"Technologies have reached a point at which the deployment of such systems is - practically, if not legally - feasible within years, not decades," said Stuart Russell, an AI researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, in a commentary published in "Nature." The AI weapons "have been described as the third revolution in warfare, after gunpowder and nuclear arms."

Buying a new car? Enjoy Apple CarPlay or Google Android Auto
Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are pushing in-vehicle connectivity, with almost every vehicle automaker expected to offer the software platforms by the end of the year.

buying-new-car-enjoy-apple-carplay-google-android-auto
Seven different 2016 Chevrolet models will offer CarPlay or Android Auto, while Hyundai said it will support Android in its Sonata. Supporting connected technology is an estimated effort to help drivers and passengers more easily interact with their smartphones while in the vehicle - and provide automakers with a more universal platform to install.

"We just want familiar. We want our content, our services that we already own on our phone," said Tim Bajarin, president of the Creative Strategies tech research firm, in a statement published by the AP. "We just want the car to have the representation of that on demand."

This isn't a warning sign that the Ford Sync, or other vehicle maker's proprietary systems will die, however, though they are keen to embrace technology.

Hackers finding innovative ways to commit identity theft
Cybercriminals want to victimize people in any way possible, including even collecting unemployment checks directly from the government. As much as $5.6 billion is taken in federal benefits fraud, stemming from identity theft and data breaches.

hackers-finding-innovative-ways-commit-identity-theft
Individual states and the federal government provide unemployment benefits directly to citizens, but if a person's personal information is purchased on the black market - and the fraudsters are able to file paperwork to collect the benefits. Each state must create their own system to identify - and stop - fraudulent claims, with thousands of suspected false forms submitted.

"The fact that this is so easy to commit is something that has been a real challenge to law enforcement because the fraudsters keep evolving, and they always find a new way to steal our identities," said Wifredo Ferrer, US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, in a statement to CNN. "And all you need sometimes is a name, a date of birth and a Social Security number. And sometimes, you don't even need that to commit this crime."

Verizon wants to be well prepared for the ongoing IoT evolution
Verizon Enterprise Solutions doesn't want to miss out on more consumers and hardware manufacturers embracing the Internet of Things (IoT), strategically preparing new partnerships and alliances.

verizon-prepared-ongoing-iot-evolution
The enterprise IoT market already has more than 1 billion devices, and that number is expected to dramatically grow in the coming years. Also, the consumer market - with end users purchasing more Things - will provide a great opportunity for Verizon and other wireless carriers to provide Internet connectivity to more products.

"With limited resources, municipal leaders are being tasked with finding ways to make their communities more efficient," said Dan Feldman, director of IoT Smart Cities for Verizon, in a statement. "Towns and cities can start with projects like energy-efficient smart streetlights, car sharing and smart parking. The cost savings and revenue from those projects can then be used to help fund bigger projects, including tackling pollution and upgrading transit infrastructure."

It's hard to envision where exactly the IoT market is going, but now is the time for companies to make sure they aren't left out of the fun.

PC manufacturers could receive Microsoft Windows 10 starting in July
It is possible OEMs will begin receiving Microsoft Windows 10 in July, so they have time to prepare the OS for a summer launch to consumers. Windows 10 has been promised sometime this summer, and an exact release date was never released - but Russian leaker Wzor reportedly said the Windows 10 RTM will begin shipping by the end of July.

pc-manufacturers-receive-microsoft-windows-10-starting-july
RTM is an acronym that points out the release to manufacturing, which is the OS version that PC OEMs use to test their hardware - and to install on PCs, notebooks, and other products that will be sold to consumers. A typical roadmap typically provides a couple of months between the RTM and final consumer release, so any bugs and early issues can be quickly worked out.

Here is what Microsoft told CNET: "Microsoft has said Windows 10 will launch this summer. We have nothing additional to share."

"Microsoft and PC vendors still need to convince users of the advantages of the new OS and new PCs, which will take some time," said Loren Loverde, VP of worldwide PC trackers at IDC. "In addition to educating clients, they'll face tough competition from other devices, and weak spending in many regions. As a result, we see PC shipments stabilizing in 2016, followed by limited growth for the next few years."

Looking ahead, Microsoft expects Windows 10 to be on more than one billion devices in just three years, and will help consumers upgrade. When do you plan to install or upgrade to Windows 10?

Previously, Zora has been used to interact with young children, helping teach them basic motor function and keep them stimulated. There are more than 6,000 elderly citizens in Belgium, France and the Netherlands use the robot to stay engaged, listening to news articles, weather forecasts, and following dance and exercise routines.

"A lot of elderly people are actually feeling alone. Solitude is something which is horrible for the moment for a lot of elderly people," said Fabrice Goffin, co-creator of the Zora robot, in a statement to Washington Post. "People don't have all the time to visit their families and they can find some kind of relationship with the robot and that is a nice thing to do."

Thermalright True Spirit 140 BW Rev.A CPU Cooler Review

Introduction, Specifications and Pricing

thermalright-true-spirit-140-bw-rev-cpu-cooler-review
Every once in a while we tend to see a shift in designs when it comes to air cooling a CPU. Where things started tiny, not too many years ago, 120mm fan based cooler became all the rage. Then we ran into developments like direct touch of the heat pipes to the IHS, and many cooler manufacturers took that design and ran with it. Then we got dual tower designs and the real monsters of air cooling reared their heads into the market. All of these coolers tend to use 140mm or 150mm fans to cool the towers, but going so big in a cooler design brings up a couple of issues.

The first major issue became blatantly obvious when the NH-D14 was released. It was amazing in its performance, but it took over the memory area, limiting what could be used, and on some motherboards, these coolers also block the functional use of the primary PCI-e X16 slot. In the last year, actually closer to even the last six months, we have seen many manufacturers offering large cooler designs, but they are now shifting the center of gravity away from the memory. This allows not only the cooler body itself to clear the area, but in most instances, it also removes the fan from conflict as well. This is the first time, however, that we have seen a manufacturer deliver a cooler this wide, but made every effort to shift the cooler up, as well as back away from the memory, allowing full use of the first PCIe slot on the motherboard.

Thermalright has taken a cooler that has done well for them in the past, and based this cooler in the True Spirit series. This is also from the largest of the three versions of True Spirit coolers as this version indeed still uses a 140mm fan to cool this offset single tower. While we have not had the pleasure of testing a True Spirit design in the past, there is no time like the present to give it a try, and why not with their latest version to be released, with their True Spirit 140 BW Rev.A CPU cooler.

Spoiler Alert: This isn't just a well thought out design from Thermalright that will "just" make installation easier with more options of functionality around this large design. Without giving too much away, let's just say its performance while offering these concessions was not overlooked in the slightest in making this cooler. We highly suggest you take the time to look at what this cooler brings forward in CPU air cooling.

thermalright-true-spirit-140-bw-rev-cpu-cooler-review
The specifications that are offered from Thermalright are pretty basic, but it does cover the vast majority of what the customer needs to know. The TS140 BW Rev.A stands 165.5mm tall to the tips of the heat pipes, it is 53.4mm thick without the 25mm of the fan included, and lastly, this cooler is 155mm in width and in a standard orientation could easily cause issues with expansion cards. The base of this cooler is made of pure copper, and after being milled to a near perfect surface, it then receives Nickel plating. They do make mention of the six 6mm diameter heat pipes used in this design, but failed to mention the use of aluminum for the 48 fins, plus an addition top fin that has been anodized black and sports the Thermalright name engraved into it. Looking over to the renderings at the right, we can see the main dimensions are clearly marked, but they also show that there is only 49mm of the cooler that sits under the base when this is installed.

To cool this tower of fins, Thermalright has gone to the TY-147A fan for this job. This 140mm fan with a rectangular frame adds an additional 160 grams to the weight of this cooler, combining for 770 grams of total weight. This fan can run in a speed range of 300 RM+PM on the low-end, and is shown to top out near 1300RPM, all while delivering 21 dBA of noise or less while doing so. While we are not given a static pressure rating, we do see that this fan will deliver 73.6CFM when at full speed, and has a 4-pin PWM connection so that noise is only as loud as it needs to be.

What really impressed us about this whole idea of taking a large cooler that would have had some issues on some motherboards, and shifted things to allow for this specific instance to never be an issue again, is that to obtain a cooler with this much thought and effort is not going to break the bank at all. Shopping around really has no gains to be had as almost everywhere we looked, we found very similar pricing for this cooler across the board. At Amazon, we found the True Spirit 140 BW Rev.A listed for $49.90 with free shipping. Newegg also has the cooler, and while sometimes cheaper, it is not the case this time, as they want $4 to ship the cooler. Either way, it isn't often that we get a cooler that comes in under the $50 mark these days, at least those capable of what you are about this see this cooler do.

Lenovo Sets Vision for Future Ecosystem of Connected Devices at Global Tech World Conference
Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) today at Lenovo Tech World, , the company's first global technology event, announced many new products, demonstrated several breakthrough product concepts that will change the way people interact with technology, and shared insight on the future of the industry from the CEOs of Intel, Microsoft and Baidu.

"Lenovo Tech World was a celebration of innovation with some of the world's great tech leaders, our partners and suppliers, and most important of all, our fans and customers," said Yang Yuanqing, chairman and CEO, Lenovo. "Lenovo has a unique position in our industry because we can deliver the devices, smart connectivity and infrastructure required to create a great user experience and satisfy real user needs. Even more, we talk to our fans everyday about how we can innovate together. They are our partners in defining the future of technology. We will deliver innovation like we showed here today to solve problems and address customer pain points. We will bring together hardware software and services to transform the user experience. This is our vision, and we showed some glimpses of the next wave of Lenovo innovation here today."

Keynote Highlights: Internet Transformation Drives 3-1 Device Strategy

In his keynote address, Lenovo Chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing addressed five developing themes that will continue to change the way people use technology by:

  • Creating more natural ways to connect people with devices
  • Building device and network connections that are reliable, seamless and ubiquitous
  • Making devices interconnected for rich interactions
  • Giving customers the power of big data and their own personal cloud
  • Leveraging smart connectivity to let customers pick the services they want and create their own unique experiences
Yuanqing referenced Lenovo's creation of the convertible category in 2012 with the four-mode YOGA convertible as an example of how hardware innovation solves specific customer pain-points and gives them new, more personal ways to interact with their devices.

Concept Devices Indicate Powerful Future

In addition to products available this year, Lenovo also gave an inside look at three of its upcoming research and technology projects. These concepts demonstrate the innovative thinking today that holds the promise of changing the face of technology tomorrow.

Smartwatches are appealing for their incredible convenience, however, their small, wristwatch-sized form factor makes it challenging to display more beyond getting instant updates. Lenovo is approaching this challenge with the Magic View smartwatch concept - the first step in the journey to making smartwatches more usable. Magic View is the first smartwatch with two screens. The second screen - the virtual interactive display - removes the limitations from the physical dimensions of the main screen. It uses optical reflection to create a virtual image and allows users to see a virtual display more than 20 times larger than the watch face display. For example, they can follow a map, view photos or even watch a video. It gives users large enough visuals and immersive experiences, unlike smartwatches of today. Lenovo worked with key technical partners as well as designing its own silicon chip to miniaturize the components without sacrificing performance.

Beyond wearables, Lenovo explained its solution to making smartphones more usable, more PC-like, by unveiling the Smart Cast concept product. Whereas today smartphones are limited to consuming content, Smart Cast changes the paradigm by giving users a smartphone with built-in laser projector, infrared motion detector and high-performance algorithms. This first ever technology combination opens a new world of interaction: Users can project a large virtual touchscreen onto a table to type with a virtual keyboard and work with specific productivity apps (calculator, drawing, note-taking and even edit in Microsoft PowerPoint). Using just the projector alone, users can transform their wall into a movie theatre to watch videos, give a presentation or even play games like Fruit Ninja using hang gestures on the table or cast onto the wall. For a transformative video chat, they can project content onto the wall while viewing different content simultaneously on their smartphone screen.

At Tech World, noted pianist Lang Lang helped demonstrate the possibilities of Smart Cast with a rendition of The Entertainer played on the virtual keyboard with the full size sheet music displayed from the smartphone's projector.

Lenovo also demonstrated its Smart Shoes concept - one of its Internet of Things (IoT) products that leverages the cloud to tie together hardware, software and applications in a new way. The smart shoes display a person's mood on its screen as well as track and analyze fitness data including heart beats and caloric consumption and even provide maps and directions to places. The smart shoes concept fits into Lenovo's IoT cloud strategy to build an ecosystem including open SDK platform, innovation incubator with professionals from different areas, smart devices, supply chains and powerful backend cloud infrastructure.

New Products Drive More Personal Experiences Today

Mobile Devices and Buying Experiences Tailored to Individual Appetites

With the backdrop of devices becoming more personal, Motorola Mobility announced that Moto Maker, Motorola's exclusive online design studio for creating custom smartphones, is now available in China. Starting today, Chinese consumers can log-onto Motomaker.com and create their one-of-a-kind Moto X. This announcement illustrates how new models are changing the way customers interact with brands to build devices that are uniquely theirs.

In 2014, Lenovo announced the formation of ShenQi, a separate company that began operating under an Internet-based business model in China in April. ShenQi is focused on integrating software and hardware for unique user experiences and developing IoT products supporting the smart home ecosystem. Specifically for IoT devices, ShenQi will develop wearables and products for smart transportation and the smart office.

At Tech World, ShenQi highlighted several leading devices including new super-slim power banks, 3D printers that can print food, out of chocolate for example, and high-precision objects, the smallest dual-track outdoor sound box and a smart home control center based on Wi-Fi. The company is also exploring emerging fields such as robots and unmanned aerial vehicles.

With the emergence of more specialized devices, Lenovo is also creating tools especially for the unique needs of business users. Lenovo announced the new ThinkPad 10, a tablet that elevates computing for mobile professionals. The tablet includes the new ThinkPad Pen Pro, giving users greater accuracy and business-class security for better data protection.

Simultaneously to driving hardware advancements, Lenovo and its partners are advancing user-centric software solutions, particularly in the areas of alternate input including voice, touchscreen technology and pen.

WRITEit Tackles One of World's Most Challenging Languages

Lenovo announced the next step in its hardware, software and ecosystem journey with a new software feature that ties together speech and writing technology for a better user experience on the YOGA Tablet 2 8-in Android with AnyPen for Manadarin. Until now, voice input of Chinese names has been a challenging task given there are nearly 7,000 commonly used characters and only 50 without a homonym. A Chinese given name usually consists of one or two characters, which is picked freely from these 7,000 or even more characters. Consider one name: Ying (said with a flat tone). Depending on which character the person picks for her name, it can have several meanings including cherry, hero, eagle, or a singing bird. This poses a particular challenge for voice recognition, and that's why WRITEit for Mandarin proves especially helpful. With Lenovo's WRITEit and Fusion Input technology, users can easily use gestures and context to define and correct the voice recognition results on screen.

Debuts Cortana and REACHit

Lenovo announced and demonstrated Cortana and REACHit, a new experience resulting from a close collaboration with Microsoft. Cortana is the personal digital assistant available across Windows 10 PCs, tablets and phones that allows users to talk or type naturally to get things done. REACHit extends the search capabilities of Cortana to non-Microsoft services. By creating a REACHit account, users can search Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive, and remote PCs and tablets all-in-one place. This deep, exclusive platform integration gives Cortana a much larger inventory of information to search, opening up an entirely new level of contextual search and giving users the most comprehensive, seamless and natural way to find their personal digital content.

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, joined Yuanqing to talk further about new capabilities coming in Windows 10 and how customers will benefit from Windows as a Service, universal applications across all devices and the opportunity for developers.

Lenovo's product announcements and demonstrations show how deeply integrated hardware and software make a better user experience, but the cloud and big data must be unleashed to realize the true potential of these powerful technologies. To illustrate this concept, former NBA player Shane Battier explained how he used big data and his own personal cloud powered by servers to out-analyze and out-maneuver his opponents, on the hardwood. Big data allowed Battier to know his opponent's weaknesses and play smarter. This translated into a focused and measurable defensive strategy that added up to real points in games where every point counts.

To further Lenovo's offerings for storage for business customers, Lenovo also announced the new Lenovo Storage S2200 and S3200 storage arrays. Designed for simplicity, speed, scalability and availability, these feature-rich arrays easily integrate into network environments and are loaded with proven storage innovations at a low entry price point.

Redefining Reality with Intel® RealSense Technology

Lenovo has built strong and long-standing partnerships with industry leaders such as Intel to identify and develop new technology solutions. Natural human expressions like gestures, speech, and facial expressions are increasingly becoming viable input methods, and Intel has been leading significant work in this area with the Intel RealSense cameras and software.

Intel RealSense Cameras come as an optional feature in several Lenovo devices, including laptops and AIO desktops, and help enable new ways to interact, including password free login with Windows* Hello using Windows* 10, gaming, entertainment, video conferencing and content creation usages. Intel CEO Brian Krzanich joined Yuanqing to demonstrate the next generation Intel RealSense Camera specifically designed for tablets and mobile form factors that brings 3D scanning capabilities at consumer price points as well as other usages like depth-enhanced photo and video, augmented reality and gaming. Krzanich also discussed Intel's intent to bring Intel RealSense technology to emerging devices like robots, drones, wearables and the Internet of Things.

Harnessing Power of Artificial Intelligence with Baidu

As Human-Machine interaction continues to develop, Robin Li, CEO of Baidu, is putting his company at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence (AI) research. At Lenovo Tech World, he demonstrated how advancements in Deep Learning and Big Data technology could improve the user experience. Baidu's newest achievement in AI focuses on computers making decisions and giving verbal answers based on their recognition of pictures and understanding of questions.

Robin also demonstrated new features of Baidu Translator. After a user takes a picture of a menu with his/her mobile phone, the app can translate the entire menu into Chinese and display it in full-screen. Another "conversation" feature can help people of different languages to freely communicate.

Li also addressed how AI-based picture and voice recognition technology can be widely applied to people's lives today. He shared two examples: finding clothes to purchase based on a photo of an outfit someone is wearing to digitally mashing-up user images of tourist destinations in Nepal before the earthquake to digitally reconstruct those hot-spots.

New Logo for the New Lenovo

While Tech World set the vision for Lenovo's future products, business and relationship with customers, it also marked the culmination of Lenovo's decade long multi-faceted transformation. The company has changed dramatically from its roots solely as a PC company, recently celebrating the 10 year anniversary of its acquisition of the IBM PCD business. That initial acquisition launched Lenovo to become a $46 billion technology leader and one of the world's leading consumer electronics companies. This momentum also spurred growth into new businesses and devices including smartphones and servers boosted by acquisitions of Motorola Mobility and IBM's X86 server business in 2014.

To mark this strategic shift, Lenovo debuted its new logo at Tech World. The new logo offers a more personal, engaging and consumer-centric experience that reflects Lenovo's personality and incorporates its rich heritage of acquisitions and original innovation DNA.

Thomson Reuters to Champion Higher Industry Standards for FX Trading
homson Reuters, the world's leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced the publication of proposed operational procedures for trading protocols on its FXall platforms, including a codified Provisory Liquidity protocol that governs participants' use of 'last look' liquidity.

The Provisory Liquidity protocol is designed to raise industry standards by outlining clear and consistent eligibility and qualification rules for price makers. It also enables liquidity consumers to make informed trading decisions based on transparent and measurable criteria.

"As a leading independent provider of FX transactions venues, Thomson Reuters is committed to ensuring a confident and effective trading experience for all market participants on all the platforms we operate, while still offering the choice clients need to meet specific trading requirements," said Phil Weisberg, global head of FX, Thomson Reuters. "Following the new Matching rules we set last year that encouraged high standards of behaviour in primary markets, the updated FXall operational procedures define the same rigorous standards for both our RFQ and Streaming Price trading protocols, where participants transact on a disclosed, relationship basis, as well as our Order Book platform, where participants trade anonymously using either firm or Provisory Liquidity."

The behavioural and platform controls associated with the Provisory Liquidity protocol empower participants to confidently choose liquidity sources that best suit their needs while mitigating the impact of physical distance on execution quality. They also entitle qualified market makers to manage credit and operational risk when making price and enable intermediaries to offer liquidity to their customers on a riskless-principal basis, thereby enhancing transparency of execution.

"Clients value choice in execution when the choices made available to them are consistently and transparently managed to the highest standard. We therefore designed the new procedures to achieve optimal conditions through a combination of objective and measurable behavioural criteria and platform controls," continues Weisberg. "More than ever, clients and their liquidity providers seek actionable insight into their execution quality. We provide them with this intelligence."

"The space-efficient vertical design and streamlined architecture with HDMI installation for easier NAS setup demonstrates our attention to deliver a better user experience for the desktop environment," said Jason Hsu, product manager of QNAP. The TS-453mini includes numerous innovative designs in its hardware architecture, including a quiet internal compact exhaust that helps dissipate heat and reduce dust buildup, a tool-less design allowing users to easily remove the magnetic top cover to add/replace hot-swappable 3.5" hard drives, and a conveniently accessible cover at the bottom for upgrading the RAM with minimal effort. Users can easily install their NAS over HDMI, allowing for a NAS to be installed without a network connection, and free from complicated procedures and the need for network expertise.

The TS-453mini also features an aesthetically-designed skyline LED indicator for system S3 sleep mode notification. Users can adjust the brightness of all system indicators based on the surrounding environment and also schedule the system to automatically dim the LEDs at certain times when needed.

Powered by a quad-core Intel Celeron 2.00 GHz processor with 8 GB or 2 GB (upgradable to 8 GB) energy-efficient DDR3L RAM (upgradable to 8 GB), coupled with 2 Gigabit LAN ports, the TS-453mini is a powerful NAS that delivers up to 220 MB/s transfer throughput. Its total storage capacity can be flexibly expanded up to 96 TB (8 TB per drive) by connecting an 8-bay UX-800P expansion enclosure.

Users can easily operate the TS-453mini as a PC with QvPC Technology. By simply plugging in a keyboard, mouse and HDMI display users can directly access stored data, run multiple applications on Windows/Linux/UNIX/Android-based VMs, surf the web, enjoy 1080p videos with up to 7.1 audio with Kodi, monitor live feeds on Surveillance Station, and much more. The real-time and offline transcoding capabilities allow for smooth video playback experience on various devices across bandwidth-limited network connections. The Signage Station app also provides more practical office applications with great tools to create advertisements or animated materials for promoting business services, and to update contents in a timely manner.

The TS-453mini offers comprehensive support for common office applications. It supports VMware, Microsoft and Citrix virtualization solutions to simplify virtual storage management, and features cross-platform file sharing for Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX users. The support for Windows AD, LDAP directory services and Windows ACL improves the efficiency of permission settings. The TS-453mini can also act as a domain controller for Windows, and offers flexible backup solutions for Windows and Mac users and disaster recovery solutions including RTRR, rsync and cloud storage backup.
