The FCC Is Moving To Preempt State Broadband Limits
I think The Washington Post meant to say "the FCC is moving SLOWLY to preempt state broadband limits."
The Federal Communications Commission this week will begin considering a draft decision to intervene against state laws in Tennessee and North Carolina that limit Internet access operated and sold by cities, according to a senior FCC official. The agency's chairman, Tom Wheeler, could circulate the draft to his fellow commissioners as early as Monday and the decision will be voted on in the FCC's public meeting on Feb. 26.

Jace Hall Considering Licensing Out Condemned Franchise
My buddy Jace Hall is looking for a indie developer to make another Condemned game. I am a huge fan of the franchise and would love to see another one made. What about you?
I helped to create a video game console franchise called "Condemned." I currently own the entire franchise. There have been 2 game titles released for the franchise, "Condemned: Criminal Origins" and "Condemned: Bloodshot" - they both did well, and I am consistently asked when a third game might be created.
Since I am focused on other things, and will be for quite some time, this franchise is just sitting there. I am contemplating finding an interested and proven Indie development team AND PROVIDING IT TO THEM, so that they can take over the franchise and move it forward. As an indie, it can be very hard to get marketing/media attention for a title that you work on. This franchise is already quite known, has market demand, and is in an innovative genre/category.
Should I explore this idea further? What say you all?

Phanteks PH-TC14S and PH-TC12LS Coolers
HiTech Legion has a two-for-one review of Phanteks' PH-TC14S and PH-TC12LS CPU coolers posted today.
With the PH-TC14S and PH-TC12LS, Phanteks is obviously tackling the high compatibility market in two different form factors while making use of the some basic components. Both the PH-TC14S and PH-TC12LS utilize the same six 6mm heatpipe configuration and aluminum finned towers, but while the 14S uses the U-shape for twin towers, the 12LS uses a single tower with C-shaped heatpipes for an overall 75mm height.

HP CEO Gets $2M Raise Despite Laying Off Thousands
Of course HP had to lay off over fifteen thousand employees. How else do you think the company could afford to give its CEO a $2 million raise. Duh.
As 15,500 employees at technology giant HP lost their jobs during the company's last fiscal year as part of a multi-year restructuring effort, its chief executive Meg Whitman received an 11 percent compensation rise. Let that one sink in for a moment.
