Apparently Futuremark is working on a new 3DMark DirectX 11 benchmark. Obviously we aren't big on canned benchmarks but this will be of interest to all you benchmark hounds out there.

Android App Steals Contactless Credit Card Data
Thankfully my tinfoil wallet and matching hat protect me from this app. I just want to know where you sign up to be a "penetration tester."

A German penetration tester has posted to the Google store an Android application capable of siphoning credit card data from contactless bank cards. The app, dubbed paycardreader, will skim card numbers and expiry dates, along with transactions and merchant IDs, and was successfully tested against a German PayPass Mastercard.

Sites Hosting Xbox 720 Roadmap Get Takedown Notices
I guess Microsoft isn't too happy about everyone seeing that two year old leaked roadmap for the Xbox 720. Not sure why they are upset, it generated a good deal of excitement for the company's next-gen console.

Microsoft's team of internet investigators has also started to send takedown notices to other sites hosting the leaked document. Ihned.cz, a technology site based in Czech Republic, received a notice over the weekend from Alan Radford, Internet Investigator on behalf of Microsoft:

AMD Appoints New Corporate VP and GM Of Server Business

What kind of pathetic bastard pays good money to cheat in video games? Well, apparently this guy does and now he has an entire article dedicated to telling his tale.

"I was running around the map. I see a guy, press my key, instantly snap on, killed him, then snapped to a few other guys and killed them. I'm like, 'I love this hack.' His clan noticed that his scores were suddenly a lot better and they figured out what was going on. He was angry about being caught, hopped onto his team's server and killed his teammates 13-0. They banned him.

Chromium OS Ported to Raspberry Pi
Anyone interested in messing around with Chromium OS on your Raspberry Pi can hit this link for the download. There isn't much you can do with it right now but its there if you want it.

Right now the OS does little more than boot up, but if the embedded version of Chromium can be made to function without issue it could make browsing the web on the Broadcom SOC-sporting PC much less painful. Then again, performance is a big question mark. Seeing how much the 700MHz ARM11 chip struggled with the Midori browser, we wouldn't hold our breath for miracles.
