Jury Deadlocks On Key Issue In Google-Oracle Trial
It looks like the jury was deadlocked on the issue of fair-use in the Oracle vs. Google trial. How's that for a monkey wrench?

A federal jury failed to agree on a pivotal issue in Oracle's copyright-infringement case against Google, blunting the impact of its finding that Google relied on another company's technology to build its popular Android software for mobile devices. The impasse reached Monday in San Francisco hobbles Oracle Corp.'s attempt to extract hundreds of millions of dollars from Google on grounds that the search leader pirated parts of Android from Oracle's Java programming system.

New Case Reviews At [H]ard|OCP
As some of you may have noticed, we've recently added case reviews to our hardware evaluations here at [H]ard|OCP. The reason for this is simple, we felt that standard case reviews were not accurately reflecting the way you, the enthusiast, would be using them. To remedy the situation, we decided it was high time to evaluate cases the [H] way and we invite all of you to give us your feedback on our testing methodology:

Our case testing consists of two complete hardware configurations, one for the average user and one for the enthusiast. While the average user may use only a single graphics card, hard drive and large cooler, enthusiast more often than not push the limits of case design with multiple GPUs, a stack of hard drives and cooling solutions that vary from mild to wild.

We have test fit industry standard hardware, multiple GPUs, hard drives, self contained water cooling solutions as well as large, DIY dual slot radiators commonly used by water cooling aficionados. We do this because, although manufacturers may say that a case is specifically designed for gamers and enthusiasts, the term is broad enough that it warrants additional testing to validate those claims.

Here are direct links to our evals of the Antec Eleven Hundred, the Enermax FulmoGT "Jumbo" case and the Corsair Graphite Series 600T.

Burnouts In A Million Dollar 1100Hp Electric Car
The company behind this $1M electric car, in an attempt to silence some of its critics, has put out a video of the car in action. Don't expect much though, the whole video contains less than ten seconds of driving time and a pretty tame two second burnout, but at least we know the car moves under its own power.

Mac Malware Infection Rates Remaining Constant
How can so many people be so damn stupi...ummm, never mind. Oh well, I guess all those infected Mac users shouldn't feel too bad, they have two billion bot infested PC owners to keep them company.

Following the Flashback malware and the estimates of 600,000 Mac systems being infected, security companies have been steadily tracking the communications done by the malware on infected systems. In recent weeks, the data from these monitoring efforts have suggested that despite early reports of the malware levels sinking rapidly from efforts by Apple, news organizations, and anti-malware companies, the levels of infections appears to be remaining constant.

Groupon CEO: Moving Fast Is Key To Success
It is hard to take "key to success" advice from a company that has never posted a profit and has had to restate earnings on more than one occasion.

Groupon's stock is trading at about half of its IPO price, closing Monday at $10.46. It priced at $20 when Groupon went public in early November. The Chicago-based company has gone through some rough patches. In March, it restated its quarterly financial results, explaining that it lost more than it initially reported because it had to pay out more refunds than expected.

Coolermaster Gemin II S524 Heatsink
If you are in need of a somewhat low-profile HSF, you should definitely check out this review of the Coolermaster Gemin II S524 posted at FrostyTech today. The design is rather unique and it looks like it would help keep your memory cool too.

In this review Frostytech is testing out the Coolermaster Gemin II S524, a top-down heatsink that stands only 105mm tall and weighs a modest 594grams. Height is one of the other advantages of top-down coolers, this model is a good 50mm shorter than the average tower heatsink!

Jury Says Google Infringed On Oracle's Copyright
It looks like the jury has come to a decision on the first part of the Google vs. Oracle trial. The jury has sided with Oracle so far but there is still more to come, including the third phase of the trial where they decided on damages.

A Northern California jury on Monday found that Google Inc infringed upon Oracle Corp's copyrights on the structure of part of the Java software programming language, in a high stakes trial over smartphone technology. However, the jury failed to decide after days of deliberation whether Google had the right to fair use of that copyrighted structure.

High-Tech Ways The Government Spies On You
This article talks about the high-tech ways the government spies on you. Thankfully they haven't started monitoring tin foil purchases yet, meaning we still have time to make hats!

Fast forward to 2012, when the U.S. government actually has the tools and capabilities to spy on all its citizens. These eyes go well beyond red light cameras. Right now, the government is tracking the movements of private citizens by GPS, reading private citizens' emails, and possibly even reading what you're saying on Facebook. It does so all in the name of law enforcement and Homeland Security.

Porn Company Sues Tumblr
Perfect 10 has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Tumblr after the image sharing site allegedly ignored repeated take down notices. In all fairness, they were probably too busy looking at the pics to take them down.

In a complaint filed Friday in Manhattan, Perfect 10 claims Tumblr failed to remove unauthorized photos posted by its users. The company, which sells nude model photographs through a magazine and website, says Tumblr not only turned a blind eye to copyright infringement but that its staff uploaded images themselves to jumpstart the business.

that you need to publish more about this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but usually people do
not talk about these issues. To the next! Cheers!!
