$799 MacBook Air may debut later this year
Apple might introduce a dramatically cheaper MacBook Air soon, if we're to believe the latest whispers from the Far East. DigiTimes quotes "sources from the upstream supply chain" who expect a $799 model to make its debut in the third quarter of 2012. If they're right, the machine would cost $200 less than the current 11.6" MacBook Air... and perhaps not a whole lot more than next-gen ultrabooks.

Rumor mill predicts Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition
If you've seen the benchmarks, you know that the GeForce GTX 680 is, on the whole, slightly quicker than AMD's reference Radeon HD 7970. Nvidia has now added insult to injury with the GeForce GTX 690, which relegates the vanilla 7970 to the third place on the podium.

OS X bug uncovers user passwords
This isn't shaping up to be a great year for Mac security. On the heels of last month's Flashback trojan pandemic, reports indicate that the latest OS X Lion update uncovers user passwords to prying eyes, too.
