Tilera preps the TILE-Gx 3000 many-core processors, takes a jab at Intel
San Jose-based chip designer Tilera Corporation today revealed to the world its latest many-core creation, a 64bit processor family called TILE Gx-3000 which targets cloud computing applications and promises a never-before seen combo of high performance and energy efficiency.

Firefox 5 officially released for desktop and mobile
Mozilla has now taken the veil off the first major Firefox update made following the implementation of the Chrome-inspired 'rapid release development cycle'. Firefox 5 has thus arrived just three months after its predecessor, but it includes over 1,000 improvements and performance enhancements.

Zotac adding three-display-ready GeForce GTX 550 Ti to its offer
Zotac today introduced its second Multiview series graphics card, a GeForce GTX 550 Ti which comes with dual-DVI, DisplayPort and dual HDMI outputs and allows the use of up to three monitors (via one DVI or DP and the two HDMI ports).

Announced last week as part of the new Satellite L700 line, Toshiba's Satellite L775D 17.3-inch laptop, which is based around AMD's newest mobile platform and is powered by a 2.3 GHz A6 APU (accelerated processing unit), has already found its way into a store listing and is up for pre-order.

Nokia reveals the MeeGo 1.2-powered N9 smartphone
Confirming yesterday's rumors, Nokia has today unveiling in Singapore its first-ever smartphone based around the MeeGo platform, the N9. Advertised as a 'pure touch' device, the N9 does not have any front-facing buttons and relies heavily on its 3.9-inch (854 x 480) curved glass AMOLED display.
