High Court To Rule On TV Indecency, GPS Tracking
The Supreme Court will soon be ruling on using GPS tracking without a warrant and indecency on TV. The first one seems like a pretty big deal, not so sure about the TV thing though.
The Supreme Court has added a couple of high-profile constitutional challenges to its lineup of cases for next term: One looking at governmental regulation of television content and the other dealing with the authority of police to use a GPS device to track a suspect's movements without a warrant.

Man Suing for Half of Facebook Loses Lawyer

Ceglia filed a notice of substitution of counsel today with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York to replace the law firm of DLA Piper, a 4,200-attorney international law firm, with the San Diego-based Lake law firm, a firm of four lawyers that also represents 200 medical marijuana collectives.

Microsoft and General Dynamics Itronix Sign Patent Agreement
Microsoft Corp. and General Dynamics Itronix have signed a patent agreement that provides broad coverage under Microsoft's patent portfolio for General Dynamics Itronix devices running the Android platform. Although the contents of the agreement have not been disclosed, the parties indicate that Microsoft will receive royalties from General Dynamics Itronix under the agreement. "We are pleased to have reached this agreement with General Dynamics Itronix, which is an example of how industry leaders address intellectual property," said Horacio Gutierrez, corporate vice president and deputy general counsel of Intellectual Property and Licensing at Microsoft.

Google has taken down 93,000 scam ads. Yay! Only 2,344,619,001,863 to go!
Google also said that it had fully or partially agreed to 89 percent of applications for content removal made by British courts, executive bodies and police. The 38 requests made by UK authorities covered 93,518 items, which were taken down for reasons of fraud, defamation and copyright infringement.

Industry Outrage Aimed At L.A. Noire Developer
The International Game Developers Association is asking anyone that works for Team Bondi, the development studio behind L.A. Noire, to come forward with complaints about bad working conditions at the studio.
Brian Robbins, chair of the IGDA Board of Directors, said the association would fully investigate the issue. "[But] certainly reports of 12-hour a day, lengthy crunch time, if true, are absolutely unacceptable and harmful to the individuals involved, the final product, and the industry as a whole," Robbins told Develop.

Microsoft Officially Launches Office 365
Microsoft has officially launched Office 365 today. The company says it plans to charge between $2 to $27 per month for Office 365, depending on the bundle.
"Office 365" has been available in a test version since last year. It combines Web-based versions of Word, Excel and other Office applications. It also includes the Exchange e-mail system, SharePoint online collaboration technology and Microsoft's instant messaging, Internet phone and video conferencing system.
