Microsoft enjoys record March quarter thanks to Office, Xbox performance
Keeping up with Intel and Apple, Microsoft too has announced that the quarter ended March 31st (Q3 of fiscal year 2011) was record-breaking, resulting in a revenue of $16.43 billion (up 13% on-year), a net income of $5.23 billion (up 31%) and diluted earnings per share of $0.61 (up 36%).

Samsung hits Apple with another patent suit, this time in the US
As a counter-attack to Apple's own lawsuit, last week Samsung filed patent infringement complaints against the Cupertino company in South Korea, Japan and Germany. This week, Samsung upped the ante and sued Apple in the US too, claiming that 10 of its patents are being violated.
