Intel working on improved interconnect technology
Despite the fact that Thunderbolt has barely made its debut, Intel is already hard at work on something that would make its 10 Gb/s technology seem old and obsolete, a new interconnect solution capable of 50 Gb/s transfers. The new speedy technology utilizes silicon photonics and will be able to deliver data over a distance of up to 100 meters, via a cable thinner than the Thunderbolt (10 Gb/s) and USB 3.0 (5.0 Gb/s) wires.

EU might introduce large scale Internet censorship
There are fears that the EU is about to bring in a Chinese style censorship system. A great firewall of Europe will control citizens’ access to blogs, news websites and social networking services. The idea has come out of the Council of the European Union’s Law Enforcement Work Party (LEWP), a forum for cooperation on issues such as counter terrorism, customs and fraud. Its idea is to create a single secure European cyberspace.

Google releases Google Docs native Android app
Google has released their first Google Docs Android app, giving users a chance to access, share and edit their docs from a native app and not from within the browser. You can now upload content directly from your phone and open docs from Gmail with one-click. Google has included a widget as well, with Create , Jump to starred docs and Take photo for upload as options.

Cedar Trail Atoms get detailed
For the second half of this year Intel has planned the release of its first 32nm Atoms, and one of them is the Cedar Trail platform, the successor of the popular Pine Trail, which targets netbooks, nettops, all-in-one PCs and is reportedly scheduled for a Q4 arrival. Cedar Trail will combine something old - the NM10 chipset also part of Pine Trail with something new, the 32nm-manufactured Cedarview processors, and will offer a lot of updates over the current offer, like Blu-ray 2.0 support, full 1080p playback, plus the Intel Wireless Music, Intel Wireless Display, PC Sync and Fast Boot technologies.
