OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G 120GB Solid State Drive Review @ PCSTATS
"The CM Storm Spawn gaming mouse retails at $49, and it’s one of the few mice available today which is designed for those users who prefer a “claw” style grip while gaming. It’s loaded with a 3500 DPI optical sensor utilizing an anti-drifting feature and 32kb of onboard memory, but how does it stack up in the crowded market of aftermarket gaming peripherals?"

Intel Core i3 2100 @ PCSTATS
"In 2010 we were introduced to Other World Computing (http://www.macsales.com), a reseller specializing in Macintosh products. At the time OWC was moving beyond that of a simple retail / e-tail outlet and venturing into manufacturing their own solid state product line. Over the last few years we've seen many companies manufacture their own SSDs; some have been established in the SSD market and others have been a one product wonder. You would think those with history in the SSD marketplace would be the first to market when a new controller becomes available, but OWC proved that theory wrong when they released the SandForce SF-1200 based Mercury Extreme right at the beginning of the product cycle. To show that OWC was serious about their solid state product line, they also priced the Mercury Extreme at a competitive point and even held the crown on and off in 2010 as the lowest priced SandForce SSD on the market.

Blue Sleeved LED Kit @ PCSTATS
Intel designed the Sandy Bridge to replace the mainstream processors, so it is natural that the company has unleashed processors that range from the $100 all the way to $300. We have already reviewed the Core i7-2600K and the Core i5-2500K for the enthusiast and mainstream markets. Today, we are going to look at the other side of the spectrum--the $124 Core i3-2100, which is the cheapest Sandy Bridge processor available at the moment.

What you get from NZXT is a two meter long string of LED lights with a controller and mounting hardware that lets you customize the lighting effect seen through a case's side window. HP Pavilion g6x @ PCSTATS
The performance oriented controller used by the Vertex 3 known as the SandForce SF-2281 includes support for the SATA 6Gb/s interface, while boasting read and write speeds of 500MB/s+, a mind blowing figure when compared to previous generation chips.

For now it appears solid state drives will continue to get faster, but not any cheaper. OCZ has set the list price for the Vertex 3 120GB version at $249, while the 240GB version will cost $499. Compared to the current Vertex 2 models - 120GB ($229) and 240GB ($429) - it translates in a small price premium for the smaller drive while the larger model is getting hit a bit harder for a noticeable performance increase.

Alienware M11x R3 Gaming Laptop Review @ PCSTATS
The Armor series spans all three of the case size categories: full, mid and SFF. The unit we will be talking about today is going to be contained in the small form factor category. The A30 is the newest entry into the Armor class and a very good looking one at that. Thermaltake, like most of their SFF cases such as the LanBox, have geared this towards the gamer. And rightfully so, as the A30 can house some very long video cards for such a compact case!

Sapphire Radeon HD6570 Video Card @ PCSTATS
If wirelessly transmitting a Blu-ray stream (which tops out around 50mbps) is questionable, transmitting uncompressed 1080p/60 video seems downright impossible. Yet, that is exactly what brite-View claims to do with their Air SyncHD transmission kit. In a nutshell, the brite-View Air SyncHD transmission kit promises to wirelessly bridge an HDMI source device and HDMI receiving device, freeing you to place the devices anywhere within the system’s wireless range. Further, the system manages to send 1080p/60 video, audio and infrared (IR) with less than one millisecond latency up to 66 feet. It sounds great on paper, but can it deliver?

GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 Motherboard Review @ PCSTATS
When we received this, I was quite surprised with what we received. We did not receive a massive video card with case-clearance issues or a card requiring more power than the Hubble Telescope. We received a simple card measuring 16 cm long with a 8 cm fan requiring no external power supply. My first thought was "This card, retailing at ~$79.00, will never be able to keep up with HD gaming and video", as the box boasts. Lets continue to see if my initial assumptions are correct.

Logitech Wireless Trackball M570 Review @ PCSTATS
"The GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 motherboard packed with features. In fact, I don't think the could pack anything else on the board than they already did. In order to fit everything that they did, GIGABYTE had to move away from the standard ATX form factor and increase the size of the board to a XL-ATX form factor. The XL-ATX form factor measures 34.5cm x 26.3cm, opposed to the Standard ATX form factor which measures 30.5cm x 24.4cm. The increase in the form factor size gave GIGABYTE an additional 163.15 square centimeters. That's a gain of 21.9% in the total real estate on the PCB for all of the added features. Despite the increased real estate on the PCB of the GIGABYTE G1 Assassin X58 motherboard, GIGABYTE managed to fill it with features..."

Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 and HD 6570 Video Cards Review @ PCSTATS
"If you're a long time reader of VH, then you all know by now that I hate mice. Literally, I just don't use mice, I don't personally review mice, nor do I get excited by a mouse. I am however completely addicted to my thumb controlled trackball. Way back in the day, I would paint my white Logitech trackman to match my case. Then I got the Microsoft Trackball for a bit, until they stopped making it. Then I went back to the newer Logitech Trackman wheel. "

AMD Radeon HD 6570 & HD 6670 Launch Review, Featuring Sapphire's HD 6670 @ PCSTATS
I hate these low to mid-range cards; it's nothing against them directly, but they're always just so slow. Sure, they might be great for the price etc. - but testing them is still an absolute pain as they're always so much slower than the stuff I'm used to testing. The whole situation is made only worse by AMD releasing three models today, albeit we're only looking at the two higher end ones of these three new models. The good news for me is that we tend to only ever look at one or two of these new models and then continue looking at the fun stuff and what people wish they could afford, but can't.

That aside, these are important reviews, though, as this is where companies like AMD and NVIDIA make their money. These low end cards are the ones you might not personally see most of, but local computer shops and system integrators will. These are the kinds of cards that companies put "Huge 1GB GAMING video card" on the signs when advertising budget PCs."

AMD's Sub-$100 Line-up: Radeon HD 6450, 6570 & 6670 Review @ PCSTATS
The latest model, the Killer 2100 is their most streamlined product yet,
focussing directly on delivering the core feature, unrivalled gaming network
performance. The wheat has been sorted from the chaff, leaving us with
Bigfoot Network's lowest priced Killer NIC thus far. An SRP of £69.99 and a
market price of around £55 if you shop around; this card is now much more of
an upgrade prospect for a large number of enthusiasts. How has it changed?
The VOIP support is dropped, the card has been tweaked and updated under the
hood, and the new software is more reliable and supposedly, delivers better
overall performance than the Killer Xeno Pro.
