Judge orders Hurd letter unsealed
A judge in Delaware on Thursday ordered the unsealing of a letter containing allegations of sexual harassment by former Hewlett-Packard CEO Mark Hurd, which ultimately led to his departure from the company. Hurd, who is now co-president of Oracle, was accused of sexual harassment by former HP contractor Jodie Fisher. The letter in question was sent to HP by Fisher's attorney.

Sun.com name could fetch Oracle $1 million
Last year, when Oracle purchased Sun Microsystems, it got a wealth of customers, technologies and personnel for its $7.4 billion. It also obtained one of the choicest domain names on the Internet, Sun.com. Now that Oracle is actively decommissioning the site, it could, if it chose to do so, sell off the domain name and pocket a million or even more, experts estimate.

JavaFX rich client environment due to hit public beta this spring

SEC charges IBM with bribing Korean, Chinese officials
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has charged IBM with giving hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to South Korean and Chinese officials starting in the late 1990s, according to court documents filed Friday. IBM has agreed to pay $10 million to settle the SEC lawsuit, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday. An IBM spokesman confirmed that the company has agreed to a settlement, but didn't disclose the amount.
