Hightech Information System (HIS) has today revealed two of its newest Cayman-based high-end DirectX 11 graphics cards, the Radeon HD 6950 and HD 6970 Fan Turbo models. Both cards are factory overclocked although they seem based on AMD's reference design.

Global phone market goes up 17.9% in Q4, ZTE grabs fourth place
IDC's newest Worldwide Mobile Phone Tracker report reveals that the fourth quarter of 2010 has seen no less than 401.4 million phones shipped worldwide. This number is 17.9% higher than that in Q4 2009 and you can bet the growth can be attributed to ever-increasing smartphone demand.

Microsoft reports $6.63 billion profit for December quarter
Redmond-based software giant Microsoft has announced that in the quarter ended December 31st (the second quarter of its 2011 fiscal year) revenues topped $19.95 billion (up from $19.02bn one year ago), while net revenue (profits) reached $6.63 billion.

Samsung says Galaxy Tab sales have surpasses 2 million units
Samsung Electronics' first Android tablet, the 7-inch Galaxy Tab introduced this past autumn, has reached a new milestone recently, having passed the 2 million mark in sales. According to Samsung, the device has reached shipments of 500,000 in Europe, 350,000 in North America and 330,000 in Asia.
