Synology reveals the DS411slim 4-bay NAS server
Next month Synology will expand its storage offering by rolling out the DiskStation DS411slim, a compact (120 x 105 x 142 mm) NAS server that is pre-loaded with DiskStation Manager 3.0 and can house four 2.5-inch SATA hard drives, solid state drives or hybrid hard drives.

Microsoft wants ITC to ban TiVo US imports, claims patent infringement
Wannabe ARM BFF Microsoft Corp. has recently filed a complaint with the US ITC (International Trade Commission) through which it claims that TiVo's products infringe four of its patents that relate to program schedules and selection, interface, and rating-based DVR restrictions.

Toshiba claimed to be negotiating chip outsourcing deal with GlobalFoundries
Tokyo-based Toshiba Corporation is reportedly in advanced negotiations with AMD spinoff GlobalFoundries on a chip outsourcing deal. If finalized, the agreement will see GlobalFoundries produce 40nm to 28nm chips for Toshiba.

Google Cloud Print comes to mobile Google Docs and Gmail
Google's Cloud Print service, which allows users to print from basically anywhere there's an internet connection, has started becoming available to mobile users through Google Docs and Gmail. The new functionality is available through the 'Print' button in the dropdown menu in the top right corner.
