DRAMeXchange predicts 18% drop in netbook shipments for 2011

Tokyo-based Toshiba Corporation is reportedly in advanced negotiations with AMD spinoff GlobalFoundries on a chip outsourcing deal. If finalized, the agreement will see GlobalFoundries produce 40nm to 28nm chips for Toshiba.
