Updated Archos 7 tablet released, has faster processor, Android 2.1
Archos has used its ninja skills and silently began shipping a second version of its 7-inch home tablet (which was released earlier this year). The revised device keeps the original design but adds a 800 MHz processor (the first version had a 600 MHz chip), and runs Android 2.1 (vs 1.5).

Kingston Technology is planning to welcome Intel's Sandy Bridge processor line with a refreshed memory offer that will include modules equipped with a new heatsink. Part of the HyperX Genesis series, the updated heatsinks have a low profile and include two rows of holes for better ventilation.

TSMC said to be manufacturing Intel's Ivy Bridge chipsets
According to salty, unnamed 'industry sources' Intel has decided not to produce the chipsets for its Ivy Bridge processors in-house and instead place orders with Taiwanese fab giant TSMC. Apparently this move will lower production costs and enable Intel to concentrate more on new nodes for CPUs.
