TSMC makes new 28nm fab
Well-known chip builder Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is reportedly planning to invest some $10 billion in building another fab capable of churning out more than 100,000 300mm wafers per month. Set to be named Fab 16, the new facility would be located in the Central Taiwan Science Park and will be equipped with tools for 28nm production.

ASUS working on new Eee devices
ASUS' South African office has posted a Twitter update that reveals the company is working on two new devices called the Eee Slate and Eee Transformer. While it's unknown what the two devices are exactly, it sounds like the former is a tablet and the other may be a convertible tablet or one with a removable screen. Either way, ASUS South Africa was impressed with the two products, calling them amazing.

Kinect crushes Sony Move in sales
One of the most well-known analysts in the video game industry, Michael Pachter from Wedbush, has recently said that Microsoft's Kinect is crushing Sony's rival Move motion control system in regards to sales. Sony says it has shipped 4.1 million units since launch, but it is unclear how many of those have translated to actual retail sales. Microsoft, on the other hand, has confirmed 2.5 million sales in just under a month.
