Microsoft Security Essentials has just passed its 1st birthday and is more popular than ever. According to F-Secure, the popularity and trust in MSE is being misused once again by attackers to redirect the user to download even more malware. Beware the Greeks bearing gifts. The attackers are counting on users being naïve enough to take the bait and agree to be "saved" by purchasing one of these awesome antimalware tools to help eradicate the threat. But, since these are all rogue antivirus programs what you really end up with is some sort of Trojan that opens the system up to further malware compromise and exploit. Comments

Captain James T. Kirk would approve. "Check-ins from around the world have been cool, but this blew my mind!" Foursquare's CEO and co-founder, Dennis Crowley, said in today's NASA news release. "We're psyched to partner with NASA to help users explore the space program and the universe." Comments

Bionic-Armed Driver Severely Injured in Crash
How bad would this suck? The arm was developed using a new technique called targeted muscle reinnervation. In a six-hour operation, surgeons in Vienna transplanted the nerves that had controlled Kandlbauer's left arm to muscles in his chest, which then amplified the signal enough to be picked up by electrodes on the surface of his chest. A micro-computer then interpreted those signals into motion in real time. Comments
