Toshiba has now updated its Qosmio X500 18.4-inch laptop prepped for games, media creation and HD entertainment, by equipping it with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 460M graphics card featuring DirectX 11 support, 192 CUDA cores, a 192-bit memory interface and 1.5GB of GDDR5 VRAM.

Ericsson sues Acer, D-Link, Netgear for patent infringement
Swedish telecommunications equipment supplier Ericsson has last week filed a complaint with the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, in which it accuses PC maker Acer, its subsidiary Gateway, as well as D-Link and Netgear of patent infringement.

Adobe posts record revenue for Q3 of fiscal 2010
Adobe Systems can feel pretty smug for a little while as it just reported a record revenue of $990.3 million for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010 which ended on September 3rd. This figure represents a 5% growth compared to Q2 and a 42% rise over the same period last year.

Online productivity service Google Docs has received a new update this week which enables it to make use of the Google Font API in order to support web fonts. And to kick off the font fun properly, Google also added six fonts to Docs - Calibri, Cambria, Droid Serif, Droid Sans, Consolas and Corsiva.

Nvidia Fermi successor called Kepler, coming next year
Exciting stuff at the end of Jen-Hsun Huang's GTC keynote as Nvidia's CEO has presented a roadmap depicting the next two GPU architectures currently in the works at the Santa Clara company.
