Intel lowers revenue expectations for Q3 amid slower consumer PC demand
US chip giant Intel has today announced an adjustment to its revenue forecast for the third quarter of this year. Initially, the company predicted sales of $11.2 and $12.0 billion but now it expects revenue to be $11 billion, plus or minus $200 million.

First alpha build of Fennec '2.0' browser available for Android and Maemo 5
Mozilla has today let loose an alpha version of the next Firefox for Mobile (codename Fennec) release. Based on the same platform as Firefox 4 for desktops, the Fennec alpha can be download and tested by people with Android 2.0+ devices and Nokia N900 (Maemo 5) owners.

Dell matches HP's acquisition offer for 3PAR - update, HP strikes back
Dell has now returned the ball to HP's court by matching its $27 cash per share or $1.8 billion bid for 3PAR. This is the third offer made by Dell, the first being of 'just' $18, while the second (announced yesterday) was of $24.30 per share.

ExoPC Slate pre-orders to start next week

PowerColor to release new, shorter Radeon HD 5830
Keeping itself busy, TUL Corp. is set to soon introduce a new Radeon HD 5830 card under the PowerColor brand to better take on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 460. The upcoming card is shorter than the first HD 5830 released by PowerColor and also has a downgraded cooler (two heatpipes instead of three).
