
O2 to join the ranks of iPad carriers in the UK
Apple's fancy touchy-feely new iPad has received a massive amount of opposing reaction since its announcement, comparable only to the original iPhone launch back in 2007. Since the devices unveiling, a number of carriers have come forth internationally to join AT&T as those who will be launching iPad-tailored 3G packages, including Vodafone and Orange, and this week British carrier O2 (former holder of the exclusive rights to the iPhone in the UK) has declared that it will also be offering packages for all iPad models from launch day in late May.
The Apple iPad enables users the best mobile experience for browsing the web, reading and sending emails, watching HD movies, sharing photos, listening to music and more, all behind the revolutionary multi-touch user interface that made the iPhone as popular as it is today.
At launch, Apple announced Wi-Fi as well as Wi-Fi plus 3G models. Though as yet only the Wi-Fi models have been released (starting at $499), the 3G version has yet to début anywhere in the world - and is set to hit the United States before April is out, and then internationally with the remaining global launch of the iPad.
