Java co-creator leaves Oracle, will look for greener pastures
The cvasi-exodus sparkled by Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems has turned a new page earlier this month when James Gosling, CTO of Oracle's client software group, former CTO of Sun's developer products group, and Java creator extraordinaire, resigned. Gosling has worked at Sun since 1984 and in the '90s fronted the team that developed the Java programming language.

Gosling announced his departure from Oracle in a quite diplomatic and thus not very revealing blog post saying: "The rumours are true: I resigned from Oracle a week ago." ... "As to why I left, it's difficult to answer: Just about anything I could say that would be accurate and honest would do more harm than good."

Gosling said that he'll be taking some time off being going job-hunting.
