Danger Den GeForce GTX 480 waterblock pictured
While the GeForce GTX 480 is a welcomed addition to the DirectX 11 graphics card market, its power consumption and working temperatures are not so it's nice to hear that Danger Den is working on fixing one of those problems. The cooling company is finishing up a trio of waterblocks for the most powerful GF100-based card (GTX 480), and one of them, the all-copper one can be seen below.
Set to be the first released, the copper GTX 480 block is said to cost between $140 and $150, and will be followed after one-two weeks by a waterblock with a copper base and a nickel top cover, and one with a nickel top and nickel (plated?) base. More info about Danger Den's Fermi-compatible cooling offer will be provided very soon.

Google versus China: Great firewall pinned for .hk block
Following the original claims that Google's search services were being blocked deliberately by the Chinese following their redirection to Hong Kong, Google have cleared the air somewhat in a statement describes that the blocking of their services as a result of a technical error that lead to renewed speculation of Chinese interference.
The reports surfaced just this week that China might attempt to cripple Google's Hong Kong services, but Google responded immediately stating that this was more likely a technical issue.
"The 'gs_rfai' started appearing in the URLs of Google searches globally as part of a search parameter, a string of characters that sends information about the query to Google so we can return the best result," Gooogle said at the time. "Because this parameter contained the letters 'rfa' the Great Firewall was associating these searches with Radio Free Asia, a service that has been inaccessible in China for a long time - hence the blockage. We are currently looking at how to resolve this issue."
However, backtracking in a new statement, Google has told the press that they are now holding China's firewall fully responsible for the block.
"Having looked into this issue in more detail, it's clear we actually added this parameter a week ago. So whatever happened to block google.com.hk must have been as a result of a change in the great firewall," said Google.
And oh the plot thickens, as in a further twist, Google has admitted that the Chinese search traffic has now returned to normal, although according to the search giant this has happened "even though we have not made any changes at our end".

BBC Trust postpones iPhone app releases for review
The BBC Trust has decided to halt the original plans laid out for April, to release an application that is geared for providing news and sports information to Apple handsets. The decision was made following newspaper publishers outcry against the BBC, stating that it would clearly provide them with an unfairly influenced advantage over the market for news applications.
The BBS Trust is now reviewing the plans in order to find whether the application(s) in question could violate their public service agreement.
This row is hardly fresh on the week's news, as newspaper publishers and book publishers have sought to capitalise on the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and up coming iPad platforms, not least of all to curb the slowing sales of print media.
Papers such as The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have both announced their agreements with Apple that are set to offer a special subscription package formatted for the iPad tablet device, and recent reports suggest that the BBC intends to reduce their web operations by as much as 50% - taking them by far in the opposite direction to their competition.
