Ubuntu 10.04 alpha 3 up for grabs
The Ubuntu devs have let loose a third alpha version of the upcoming Linux distro codenamed Lucid Lynx aka Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Long Term Support). Released for testing purposes, the Alpha 3 has Yahoo! as its default search engine - a change announced one month ago, and features the latest GNOME desktop environment (Kubuntu includes KDE SC 4.4), the 2.6.32-14.20 kernel, the Nouveau video driver for Nvidia GPUs, an updated version (5.4) of the likewise-open package which provides Active Directory authentication and server support for Linux, integration with Twitter, identi.ca, Facebook, and other social networks, and more.
