
Analysts predict Apple will sell 6 million iPads in this year
It seems a tad too early to start talking real year-end shipping numbers for the Apple iPad, however, it is exactly the manner of speculation that tech analysts thrive on. Katy Huberty, an analyst for the company is predicting that Apple will ship some 2.5 million tablets between March and May. Projected to the end of the year, that number should hit around 8 to 10 million units. AMD introduces 8- and 12-core Opterons 6100
The new Opteron 6000 series server platform debuts this week in AMD, including the new Opteron 6100 8-core and 12-core processors (codename Magny-Cours). The chips themselved started shipping last month but AMD waited until just before the end of Q1 to make them official in order to make sure OEMs are ready with Opteron 6100-powered machines.
