Juniper Networks has optimistic view of 2010
Juniper Networks have announced their 2009 Q4 financials this week, and along with it an optimistic assessment of the company's future as it pulls out and comes clear of the global recession. The overall revenue for 2009 was somewhat grim, with a 7% drop on 2008 to $3.32 billion (USD) - however the last quarter was up 2% on Q4 2008.

Their NET cash flow rose from $215.1 million to $259.6 million. The company's CEO Kevin Johnson feels that despite the fact that the company has lost out over 2009, it should and will still be investing in innovation, especially as the recession peels off.

"Juniper enters 2010 with improved financial results, and a clear strategic direction centred on innovation and expanded routes to market. We see improving conditions in 2010, and are positioning Juniper to accelerate out of the downturn," he said.

The company's CFO, Robyn Denholm, added to Johnson's thoughts by stating that the company had managed to stay on track throughout 2009, and that if anything the Q4 results were noted as a strong progression.

"Revenue increased, we saw increased traction from our new products, and we managed expenses well. We remain committed to thoughtfully managing our cost structure, and enter 2010 with optimism," said Denholm.

As Juniper head into a new year with recently added partner Polycom, set to take on the absurd costs that surround Teleconferencing and other remote communications technolog - their only true competitor will be the likes of Cisco, so all eyes will remain on them as they prepare to announce their figures next month.
