Super Talent announces the TeraDrive FT2 enterprise SSDs
Super Talent has introduced to the world the TeraDrive FT2, its first solid state drives equipped with the SandForce SF-1500 controller. Targeting enterprise applications, the new 2.5-inch SSDs make use of MLC (multi-level cell) or SLC (single-level cell) NAND flash memory, have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a MTBF of over 1 million hours and deliver read and write speeds of up to 250 MB/s.

One major concern for YouTube's staff was the improvement of the video page, especially since new features were added that could clutter things up. Internet Explorer 9 will upgrade tabbed browsing
Upgrade comparing to IE8, of course: Microsoft has recently filed a patent relating to the upcoming Windows Explorer 9 web browser that will enhance the functionality of tabbed browsing and tab management. A source says the patents (check the pictures) describe a system and method for selecting a tab within a tabbed browser.

AMD is back to profits thanks to Intel settlement
After years of losses, AMD has returned to profit in Q4 2009, when, thanks to the $1.25 billion received from Intel, it has reported a net income of $1.178 billion. Revenue in Q4 was $1.646 billion, up 18% sequentially and 42% compared to the same quarter of 2008.

Rambus wins crucial decision in Nvidia patent battle
A U.S. International Trade Commission judge has dealt a setback to Nvidia in a legal patent dispute with chip-maker Rambus. Judge Theodore Essex said that Nvidia is violating three patents owned by Rambus, while dismissing two other patents as invalid. Rambus Inc. is attempting to force Nvidia to patent royalties over technology in use in Nvidia graphics chips.

PlayStation 3 security cracked?
A hacker named George Hotz (alias geohot), responsible for several iPhone hacks, published an entry on his blog dated as the 22nd January 2010 which states that he managed to gain access to the entire system memory and the processor. This certainly doesn't mean that users will soon be able to run homebrew software on PS3, but it might be the first step after more than three years and two months.
