
AC presents the Accelero XTREME GTX Pro VGA cooler
Arctic Cooling is cooking up yet another VGA cooler for these upcoming holidays and it goes by the name of Accelero XTREME GTX Pro. The new solution measures 290 (L) x 104 (W) x 56 (H) mm, weights 632 grams, is SLI compatible, and has five copper heatpipes, pre-applied Arctic MX-2 thermal paste, and three 92mm fans that can work at 1000 to 2000 RPM.
The Accelero XTREME GTX Pro works with GeForce GTX 285, GTX 275 and GTX 260 graphics cards, is backed by a 6-year warranty and is set to become available next month @ $85 / 60 Euro.

Palit unveils five GeForce GT 240 models
Palit Microsystems has really opened the flood gates for the GeForce GT 240 launch as it has revealed no less than five such cards. Palit's GT 240 line-up includes 512MB, 1GB cards with GDDR3, GDDR5 memory, and a Sonic edition which packs 1GB GDDR5 VRAM.
The five cards come with DirectX 10.1 and PhysX support, 96 Processing Cores, a 128-bit memory interface, no SLI, custom, dual-slot coolers and D-Sub, DVI, plus HDMI outputs. Palit doesn't mention the frequencies of its cards but it's probable that the stock GDDR3 and GDDR5 versions have their GPU/shaders/memory set to 555/1340/1800 MHz and 555/1340/3600 MHz, respectively. The Sonic model is factory overclocked but again, no numbers were revealed.

AOC lets loose the 619Vh 26-inch monitor
AOC Europe has announced the launch of a funky new Full HD LCD monitor, the 26-inch 619Vh. Seen just below, the all-black display has a TN panel with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, and features a 5ms response time, a typical brightness of 300 cd/m2, a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000:1, and includes D-Sub, DVI and HDMI connectivity.
The AOC 619Vh is backed by a three-year warranty and can be found listed in Europe for as low as 277 Euro.

Spire readies the Accelerator PC chassis
Spire is currently prepping the release of Accelerator, a slim new PC case which supports Mini ITX and Micro ATX motherboards. Seen below, the black-painted enclosure measures 435 (L) x 95 (W) x 338 (H) mm, weights 4.1 kg and has a single exposed 5.25-inch bay, front-plated USB and audio ports, as well as two holders for 60mm fans.
According to its maker, the Accelerator will start shipping late this month and will be backed by a two-year warranty.

Sharkoon presents USB 3.0 HDD dock, add-in card
Sharkoon has now announced a couple of USB 3.0 products, a PCIe x1 add-in card and a QuickPort hard drive dock. The add-in board makes use of a NEC controller and provides two USB 3.0 ports which can obviously also be used with USB 2.0-compatible devices. This one is going on sale as we speak priced at 40 Euro.
As for the dock, it has the mentioned USB 3.0 support and works with 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. The SATA QuickPort USB 3.0 will become available next month at about 50 Euro.

Leadtek serves up three GeForce GT 240s
Not surprising, Leadtek has also announces a few GT215 cards today, namely the WinFast GT 240 SDDR3 1GB, GT 240 GDDR3 512MB and GT 240 GDDR5 512MB. Leadtek's cards have 96 Processing Cores, a 40nm GPU clocked at 550 MHz, a shader frequency of 1340 MHz, a 128-bit memory interface and a VRAM frequency of 1580 MHz, 2000 MHz and 3600 MHz, for the SDDR3, GDDR3 and GDDR5 models respectively.
The three DirectX 10.1-supporting cards should hit stores in within days at prices going from about 90 up to 100 - 110 Euro.

Inno3D announces its own GeForce GT 240s
Like many of its add-in board rivals, Inno3D has stepped into the spotlight today to introduce three GeForce GT 240 graphics cards. Inno3D's models all have DirectX 10.1 and PhysX support, 96 Processing Cores, a 128-bit memory interface, a dual-slot cooler, D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs, and GPU/shader frequencies of 550/1340 MHz.
The 512MB and 1GB DDR3-equipped models have memory clocks of 1400 MHz and 1380 MHz, respectively, while the 512GB GDDR5-boasting card has the VRAM set to 3400 MHz. Next AIB please.

ARM sets up Solution Center for Android
Chip designer ARM has rounded up some buddies from its Connected Community and launched the Solution Center for Android, a resource aimed at helping designers and developers of ARM-based products running on the increasingly-popular Android open source software platform. Basically, the SCA will provide developing tools, Android software components, services and training to get the Android community in a higher gear, ready for the mobile platform's expansion.
"As we have seen through the recent launches of handsets such as Motorola's Droid and Acer's Liquid, the Android platform represents a fundamental change in the open source ecosystem," said Kevin Smith, VP Segment Marketing, ARM. DFI officially reveals the first 'Hybrid' dual-system motherboard
Promoting the need to be as green as possible, DFI has now announced the Hybrid platform, a solution that basically sees two systems integrated on the same motherboard. The first Hybrid products is called HB P45-ION-T2A2 and it's an ATX board that houses a P45-based system and a ION-powered platform.
Able to work independently from one another, the two systems can serve the needs of people who need low-power computing for office, browsing, and also of those who want power for gaming and other, more intense tasks.
The P45 part of DFI's board has an LGA 775 socket for Core 2 Duo/Quad processors, four DDR2 memory slots, a PCI-Express x16 slot for a discrete graphics card, and six SATA 3.0 Gbps ports, while the ION segment includes an Atom 230 (1.6 GHz) CPU, a GeForce 9400M chipset, two DDR2 So-DIMM slots, and three SATA connectors. Both platforms have their own audio, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0 ports, aw well as video outputs.
DFI has yet to announce the HB P45-ION-T2A2's price tag.
