
Wind12 U230 is AMD based Ultrathin PC
MSI has officially the 12.1 Wind12 U230, which features AMD's 2nd Generation Ultrathin Platform, a dual-core processor, and Windows 7 Home Premium. The MSI Wind12 U230 notebook has a cinematic 16:9 LED backlit display, a footprint smaller than a sheet of A4 paper (297×190mm), a total weight of 1.3kg including battery. More importantly, the Wind12 U230 offers around 60% less power consumption than standard notebooks. This goal is reached utilizing three technologies: MSI's ECO Engine, an LED backlit display, and AMD's 2nd Generation Ultrathin Platform resulting in over twice the battery endurance of traditional 12 notebooks.

EIZO has new, StarWars like LCD monitor
EIZO Japan has just announced the FlexScan SX2262W 22-inch monitor. This one is not part of regular offering for the masses, as it features a VA (Vertical Alignment) panel and can brag with being able to reproduce 95% of the Adobe RGB color space. Nvidia is out with GeForce 310
Nvidia has stealthy introduced a couple of not really new OEM-only graphics cards, the GeForce 310 and 205. Microsoft has been giving developers and curious journalists a very early peek into its IE 9 progress at PDC, with its stated ambitions including faster Javascript, HTML5 support, and hardware acceleration for web content. In the times when CRT monitors (displays) were only choice, if you cared about your health and especially eyesight you needed to buy good and expensive monitor. Back then, when someone wanted to buy a good PC we always recommended him to buy good monitor first and then the rest of the configuration with money that remained from initial budget. For that difference in price, you can get monitor signed by well-established brand, with contemporary design, format and high resolution. Since monitor is, in most cases, long-term investment (because it is a component that is rarely upgraded), it makes sense so go for slightly better solution. Problem is that even in this low price range, there are differences between various models and manufacturers.
