[Rumour] Nvidia Fermi Updates - Mainstream cheaps, huge orders
Fudzilla has a date for Nvidia's mainstream Fermi chips to compete in the popular <$199 segment. Unfortunately, we are talking about March 2010 "if all goes well". This is simply disastrous for Nvidia as ATI's HD 5700 series will go unchallenged for nearly half a year, if not more.
On the performance segment, things are looking much more promising for Nvidia as partners are confident about GF100 and have ordered large quantities of it. November 27th was the date being talked about before, while the general consensus is still "Late Decembers". Naysayers still claim GF100 will only hit stores in mass quantity in January 2010.

Intel posts impressive Q3 financials
It seems Intel is showing signs of recovering from recession. Techreport reports strongest second-to-third quarter growths - though this is mostly due to the dismal Q3 performance, mostly reduced by recession and the mammoth $1.45 billion EC fine.
Intel posts revenue of $9.4 billion, while down from Q3 2008, is up from the $8.0 billion in Q2 2009. Impressively, the net income is $1.9 billion almost on par with Q3 2008 results. This is up from a $398 million deficit in Q2 2009 (though most of it is due to the $1.45 billion fine).
We suspect the Lynnfield products have played quite a hand in this turnaround - and it could also be signs that the hardware industry is recovering from recession.

[Rumour] ATI Radeon HD 5900 arriving?
Though the ATI Radeon HD 5800 is barely three weeks old, there is already talk of a HD 5900 series. Nordichardware have "got word that the HD 5900 series is being prepared for launch". The have also quoted a driver mentioning "ATI Radeon HD 5900 Series".
Nordichardware speculates that the HD 5900 series will be a response to Fermi - a refresh of the HD 5800 much like RV790 and HD 4890 refreshed HD 4870. However, this is clearly open speculation and word of HD 5900 could mean several things.
