Panasonic makes 50-inch Full HD 3D plasma panel
Doing its part to help the 3D revolution, Panasonic Corp. has constructed a 50-inch Full HD 3D compatible plasma display panel (PDP) and high-precision active shutter glasses that are set to bring theater-quality, true-to-life 3D images to your living room.

The 1080p 3D-ready panel makes use of Panasonic's high-speed 3D drive technology that enables rapid illumination of pixels while maintaining brightness and features the crosstalk reduction function which minimizes double-image (ghosting) that occurs when left- and right-eye images are alternately displayed. The 3D glasses also help reduce crosstalk thanks to a technology that precisely controls the active shutters with the left- and right-eye images shown on the PDP.

Panasonic will be showcasing prototype Full HD 3D TVs and glasses at CEATEC JAPAN 2009 next week and plans to bring such products to market in 2010.
