EDS turning into HP Enterprise Services
Some thirteen months after buying it through a transaction worth $13.9 billion, HP has decided to rename EDS and call it HP Enterprise Services. This change is said to be one of the steps taken for the integration of EDS into HP and it comes as proof of the growing role of enterprise technology services in HP's portfolio.

"Our clients expect us to harness the full power of HP's portfolio to solve their business challenges," said Joe Eazor, senior vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Services. "Today we are combining the strong services brand equity that EDS has built over the last 47 years with HP's technology leadership to become the leading IT services provider. We will continue to deliver the same service excellence that our clients have come to expect."

HP has also decided to change the name of the Technology Solutions Group, in which EDS has been integrated last year, to HP Enterprise Business.

Microsoft's Courier dual-display tablet pictured
Tired of all the rumors about an Apple tablet? Then how about some info about a tablet made by arch-rival Microsoft. Named Courier and still a prototype, the MS tablet features a design similar to that of the ebook reader expected from Asus later this year, with two 7-inch-ish multi-touch displays connected by a hinge.

The Redmond company's device also packs a 3 megapixel camera so it will enable its users to do more than 'just' surf the web and read ebook. Bring on the social functions and Microsoft might have a successful product with the Courier. Fingers crossed.

PowerColor delivering Radeon HD 5800 six pack
Proud AMD board partner PowerColor has sent out word that it will bring to the graphics table six Radeon HD 5800 packages, three based on the HD 5870 and three on the HD 5850. The seemingly large offer is actually quite small as all six cards have stock GPU/memory clocks - 725/4000 MHz for the HD 5850s, 850/4800 MHz for the 5870s, and the only thing that differentiates them is the included bundle.

To detail, you have a 5870/5850 pair that doesn't have any extras, a pair that comes with a coupon to download a copy of Dirt 2 (which will be released in December), and a couple that includes a Konnet HDMI 1.3 cable.

PowerColor's new Radeons should start to become available this week.
