Razer unveils the Orochi BT mouse and Kabuto mouse pad
The Slick Ricks at Razer have now announced a couple of new gaming gear to help boost your skillz - the Orochi wired/wireless mouse and Kabuto mouse mat. Starting off with the less geeky hardware, the Kabuto, which apparently can double up as a laptop screen protector, measures 280 x 195 x 1.2 mm and features a high grip rubber base and a microfiber tracking surface for consistent mouse gliding.
As for the Orochi, it measures 99 (L) x 67.8 (W) x 35 (H) mm, has a 4000dpi laser sensor and boasts Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity but can also be wired (it comes bundled with a detachable cord) to ensure top precision, control and accuracy at all times. The mouse also provides On-The-Fly Sensitivity adjustment, has on-board memory for settings/profiles, and is powered by two AA batteries (when used wireless).
"We live in a mobile society of gaming where powerful notebook gaming is a must. With all gamers in mind, the Razer Orochi and Kabuto provide the perfect portability to improve your gaming experience anywhere at any time." says Robert 'Razerguy' Krakoff, President of Razer. "Gaming should never be restricted to one area."
The Kabuto mat is set to become available next month for $19.99 / أ¢آ‚آ¬19.99, while the Orochi mouse is scheduled to sell via Razerzone.com from mid-August, and worldwide from late September at $79.99 / أ¢آ‚آ¬79.99. Some great currency conversion eh?

Qualcomm fined $208 million in South Korean anti-trust case
After more than three years of investigation, South Korea's Fair Trade Commission has ruled that Qualcomm is guilty of engaging in unfair business practices and hit the San Diego-based wireless technology company with fine of $208.8 million.
According to the Korean authority, Qualcomm's sin was that it abused of its dominant position in the CDMA market to impose higher royalties to companies that used modem chips from rivals like Texas Instruments. Moreover, Qualcomm offered rebates to those who used its silicon parts and that helped it maintain the Korean wireless market hegemony.
As expected Qualcomm declared itself disappointed with the ruling and said that it will appeal the fine.

Adobe preps fix for newfound Acrobat, Reader, Flash Player vulnerability
Adobe Systems has just issued a new security advisory warning about a new critical vulnerability found in Flash Player 9 and 10, and the authplay.dll file within Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9. The issue, which is apparently already being exploited through limited, targeted attacks against Adobe Reader 9 on Windows, can cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.
Adobe doesn't offer any temporary fix for the flaw (deleting authplay.dll isn't really an option since it will lead to errors), but promises to have a fix for the Windows, Mac OS, and Linux versions of Flash Player by July 30th, and one for Adobe Reader and Acrobat v9.1.2 for Windows and Mac OS by July 31. Until then, be careful when browsing and try to stay away from untrusted websites.
