Lexar readies the Crucial M225 solid state drives
Micron subsidiary Lexar Media is gearing up to introduce a new line-up of solid state drives under its Crucial brand to take on OCZ, Patriot, and others. Coming in a 2.5-inch for factor the upcoming M225 series drives feature MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory chips, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface and deliver read/write speeds of up to 250/200 MB/s (256GB model), 250/190 MB/s (128GB ), and 200/150 MB/s (64GB ).
It's unclear what controller the M225 SSDs use but all should be revealed on July 20th, that's Lexar's promise anyway.
