OnStar Tracks Your Car Even When You Cancel Service
I know it may be alarming to know that OnStar tracks your car even after you cancel your service but, the good news is, they only do it so the company can make money selling the data to third parties. Wait, what?!?
Navigation-and-emergency-services company OnStar is notifying its six million account holders that it will keep a complete accounting of the speed and location of OnStar-equipped vehicles, even for drivers who discontinue monthly service. OnStar began e-mailing customers Monday about its update to the privacy policy, which grants OnStar the right to sell that GPS-derived data in an anonymized format.

NZXT Tempest 210 Case
The crew at Overclockers Club have posted a review of the NZXT Tempest 210 case today and, as far as I can tell, it seems as though they really liked it.
Today we take a look at NZXT's new release, the Tempest 210. Designed for those on a small budget or even just someone looking for a cost effective case, the Tempest 210 stands in as the affordable mid-tower. As NZXT's latest addition to their series of "Airflow Kings," the case is intended to "aggressively dissipate heat with advanced mesh design." With the potential of housing up to eight fans this case is ready to blow you away.

Microsoft Boosts Dividend 25 Percent
Microsoft, in a move to appease stockholders, just announced a a 25 percent increase in its quarterly dividend.
The increase, following a 23 percent hike last year, is on the high-end of the range expected by Wall Street, but still may disappoint some investors hoping for a greater payout from Microsoft's $53 billion pile of cash and short-term investments. The latest increase, payable on December 8 to shareholders of record as of November 15, 2011, means Microsoft's dividend yield is now about 3 percent.

NVIDIA Talks Next-Gen Tegra
While most of you couldn't give a hoot about NVIDIA's mobile tech, I know there are at least a few of you that will be interested in these two white papers.

The second whitepaper discusses the benefits of quad-core across different types of use cases – web, games, apps, multitasking and more. We also highlight examples of how quad-core Kal-El uses less power than dual-core processors across all performance points.

You Know You're Fired When...
A pricing error like this is bad enough without following it up with a massive reply-all e-mail error. On a related note, I think there might be an opening in this guy's department tomorrow.
Last night, Cabela's sent out an e-mail to the hundreds of customers who had tried to buy a the G-Floor Floor Protector in green (normally $209.99) for the ridiculously low price of $4.88, letting them know this was a mistake and their accounts would not be charged. The bigger problem is that the person at Cabela's who sent out the e-mail forgot to Bcc the customers, thus giving out every other customer's address.
