Facebook Gets More Multimedia
Even though Warner Brothers was new to the concept in letting users use Facebook Credits to enjoy movies, it seems like the idea was, and still is, catching on somewhat. The company is now adding a total of five more movies to its Facebook collection including Inception, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Yogi Bear, and Life as We Know It. The same rules apply as to the original movie that Warner Bros brought to Facebook, The Dark Knight, as users have a two day window of time to view the movie after they rent it using Facebook Credits. Obviously the service cannot yet compete with current offerings, but it will be interesting to see where Warner Bros decides to take everything concerning its current scheme.

AT&T Admits It Crippled 4G Upload Speeds on the Motorola Atrix and HTC Inspire
All four of the major US cellular carriers are rolling out 4G networks, with larger cities getting the access first. AT&T has two 4G phones on its network, the Motorola Atrix and HTC Inspire, but when users uploaded content through their phones, many were surprised at just how slow the 4G speeds were. People were uploading no greater than 300kbps, a far slower speed than advertised, and many blamed AT&T for the drop. AT&T didn't admit to anything, but when complaints were sent to the Better Business Bureau, AT&T went ahead and confirmed that it had intentionally crippled 4G upload speeds on its network. AT&T representatives announced on Facebook that updates to the Atrix and Inspire will roll out in April which will fix the issue. AT&T uses the HSUPA network for its 4G, but despite claiming it was in full effect, users found out that the 4G network did not exist. Hopefully AT&T can get things rolling soon on its HSUPA network, especially with the Samsung Infuse 4G coming soon.

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E420 Now Available, E220 Coming Soon
Lenovo has consistently been one of the better options to consider for a new laptop, especially if you're a businessman or woman. Sure, the Lenovo laptops aren't always the best-looking, but for reliability and longevity, there aren't many better options. The new ThinkPad Edge laptops coming out soon, the E420 and E220, look to try and change up appearances a little with a new matte black lid that looks quite stunning. The E420 is available today with the E220 coming in April, and the price is definitely right on the E420. The 14" E420 starts at $699 and includes an Intel Core i3-2310M CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive to start with, an HD webcam, a fingerprint reader, a 48.8Wh battery, and something called an Infinity Glass display which is basically edge-to-edge glass. The resolution comes in at 1366x768 which should be more than enough for most users, plus you do get the option to beef up the processor with a Core i5-2410M. The 12.5" E220 should offer many of the same components, just in a smaller package that should hopefully be cheaper as well.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E420 is available now for $699 while the E220 will launch on April 8th.

Intel Launches Third-Generation SSD 320 Series
For a while, it seemed everyone was clamoring for an Intel X-25M solid state drive to boost performance to their system. Now, finally, Intel has launched the successor to that line in the form of the Intel SSD 320 series. The SSD 320 series is the third-generation SSD and is based on 25nm NAND Flash memory. The drives will be available in 40, 80, 120, and 160GB capacities for typical users, plus a 300 and 600GB option for more demanding users. Intel is also touting that these new SSDs are up to $100 cheaper than the X-25M drives it is replacing, which should be good news for everyone interested. The Intel SSD 320 series uses the SATA II interface which delivers a 270MB/s read speed and a 220MB/s write speed. Each drive also has an advanced 128-bit AES encryption to help protect your drive in the event something bad happens.
The Intel SSD 320 series should be available now with the 40GB costing $89, the 80GB at $159, the 120GB at $209, the 160GB at $289, the 300GB at $529, and the massive 600GB SSD at $1,069. All feature a three year warranty.
