Thermaltake provides video teaser of Frio OCK high-end CPU cooler
Looking for a new CPU cooler? Well, Thermaltake doesn't want you to rush into making a purchase and thus posted on YouTube a video promoting its upcoming Frio OCK (OverClocker Kings) model which can handle chips dissipating up to 240W.

MSI also reveals two GeForce GTX 580 Twin Frozr II graphics cards
Today, beside the two GTX 570s detailed earlier, MSI introduced two GeForce GTX 580 cards that both utilize the Twin Frozr II cooler, the N580GTX Twin Frozr II and N580GTX Twin Frozr II/OC. Both models are cooler and quieter than reference models and are powered by the GF110 40nm GPU.

HIS coming up with its own 1GB Radeon HD 6950 to take on GTX 560
Following Sapphire, HIS (Hightech Information System) is the second AMD board partner confirmed to be releasing a Radeon HD 6950 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory. The card hasn't been officially announced but it's likely to debut later this month, close to the launch day of Nvidia's GeForce GTX 560.

The WindForce is surely strong with Gigabyte as the company has developed another GF110-powered card equipped with a WindForce 3X three-fan cooler, the GV-N580UD-15I (GeForce GTX 580).

Antec rolling out the Sonata IV low-noise PC case
Just as the madness of CES week ensued, Antec introduced its fourth-generation Sonata PC case which, like its predecessors, is all about low-noise computing. Named Sonata IV, the new mid-tower case is equipped with a whisper-quiet 620W power supply and supports mini-ITX, micro ATX and ATX boards.

MSI announces its Twin Frozr II-enhanced GeForce GTX 570 graphics cards
Taiwanese heavyweight MSI has just revealed two new GeForce GTX 570 models which are up to 20 degrees (Celsius) cooler and up to 8.4dB quieter than reference cards thanks to the use of the Twin Frozr II cooling solution boasting two 80mm PWM fans and five heatpipes and a nickel-plated copper base.

Gigabyte readies overclocked, WindForce 3X-cooled GeForce GTX 570
Gigabyte Technology is currently working on bringing to market its second GeForce GTX 570 card, a customized model which is factory overclocked and comes equipped with the WindForce 3X cooler which packs no less than three 80mm fans.

MSI WindPad 100W Windows slate hitting Europe at â‚¬599
MSI has announced that its WindPad 100W 10-inch slate will become available in Europe (Germany will get it first) at the end of this month priced at â‚¬599. The tablet PC runs Windows 7 and is powered by Intel's 1.6 GHz Atom Z530 processor.

Smartbook AG debuts the Surfer 360 MN10U Tegra 2 tablet
German company Smartbook AG (you know, the guys with the fuss over the 'smartbook' word) has now introduced a new, no, not a smartbook, a new tablet, one called Surfer 360 MN10U which is powered by Nvidia's Tegra 2 SoC and runs Android 2.2.

RIM BlackBerry PlayBook shipments said to top 1 million units in Q1
According to 'industry sources', Taiwanese ODM Quanta Computer has kicked off production of BlackBerry PlayBook tablets, and may ship up to 1 million units before the end of this quarter. RIM (Research In Motion) is planning to release the device in the US in the next couple of months.

Intel reportedly planning to acquire wafer supplier IQE
Big money maker Intel is said to be planning to bid Â£487 million (about $771 million) for UK-based IQE Plc, a supplier of semiconductor wafer products for wireless and optoelectronic components, photovoltaics and silicon based epitaxy.

Shure reveals the SE215 sound isolating earphones
Shure Inc. is set to expand its line-up of noise isolating earphones this Spring through the release of the SE215 phones which feature a Single Dynamic MicroDriver that delivers top-notch audio and bass, Kevlar-reinforced detachable cables, and come in either a clear or translucent black casing.

RIM BlackBerry Torch 2 said to be packing 1.2 GHz processor
Research In Motion is really in motion currently, and proof of that comes via multiple device leaks, the latest being focused on the second-generation BlackBerry Torch, a slider smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard that's equipped with a speedy 1.2 GHz processor (600 MHz on the first Torch).

Samsung S5830 Android 2.2 smartphone detailed, set for MWC debut
Beside showing off the successors of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab, Samsung is claimed to be revealing at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (February 14-17) a mid-range smartphone codenamed S5830 which runs Android 2.2 and packs a TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels.

Intel breaks more records, posts $3.4 billion profit for Q4
x86 promoter Intel Corp. has ended 2010 with a real bang as its Q4 results reached record highs - $11.5 billion revenue (up 3% sequentially and 8% on-year), $3.4 billion net income (up 15% over Q3 2010 and 48% over Q4 2009), and earnings per share of 59 cents (up 13%/48%).

YouTube mobile passes 200 million views per day
Uber-clicked clip source YouTube has seen its mobile usage grow like mad in 2010 and currently it has surpassed 200 million views a day. This milestone is probably just one of many and is backed by a new YouTube app (version 2.0) which provides access to VEVO's official music video library.

Windows slates of 2011
Last year all the fuss was about 3D but 2011 is going to be the year of the tablet and at CES, the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas ,along with smartphones, laptops and other cool gadgets it was mostly tablets, Windows 7 and Android that dominated the talk.

MSI said to be prepping overclocked, GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Frozr II
Later this month, on January 25th to be exact, Nvidia will launch the GF114-powered GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Ti for Titanium we guess, same as some GeForce 3/4 models), and MSI is supposed to welcome the card with open arms, releasing several SKUs based on it, including the N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC.

Asus' 2011 laptop offer has started to hit stores with the first model available being the gamer-targeting ROG G73SW-TZ083V which features the same, stealth fighter-inspired design as last year's G73 but packs updated hardware, more specifically, Sandy Bridge chips.
