OCZ RevoDrive X2 240GB PCI-Express SSD Review @ PCSTATS
AMDÂ’s HD6850 series was released to a warm public reception, combining great performance, low power drain and very competitive pricing. KitGuru recently reviewed the XFX HD6850 Black Edition and today we are looking at SapphireÂ’s overclocked competitor- the HD6850 Toxic Edition.... [KITGURU] via PCSTATS

Deepcool Gamer Storm and Ice Warrior @ PCSTATS
Roughly this time last month we were testing a variety of graphics cards in the new Call of Duty: Black Ops video game. I remember picking up a Radeon HD 4870 and thinking to myself “wow I've had this thing forever”. The follow up to this card was Radeon HD 5870, which a solid success for AMD as it remained their flagship single-GPU product for roughly 15 months, and it is only being replaced today. After a short delay, AMD brings us the new Radeon HD 6970. Code-named Cayman XT this new graphics processor features 2640 million transistors, 23% more than that of the 5870. Like the new Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 and GTX 570 graphics cards which are more refined versions of the GTX 480 and GTX 470 graphics cards, the Radeon HD 6970 is essentially a more refined version of the 5870. To find out exactly what this means, read on... ... [TECHSPOT] via PCSTATS

Master Mach 0.8 Review - the 800RPM Turbine @ PCSTATS
You can never have enough enclosure fans, especially if the enclosure is situated on the floor and plays the role of the perfect dust magnet. On the other hand, bad coolers are only likely to present an additional dust accumulation location, and if they arenÂ’t particularly quiet either, youÂ’re in for a treat. Fortunately, Cooler MasterÂ’s more expensive models are nothing of the sort, and one of those is Turbine Master...... [INSIDEHW] via PCSTATS

The new AMD E-350 with Radeon HD 6310 @ PCSTATS
"Reviewing graphics cards, mechanical keyboards, monitors and all sorts of other fancy products can be fun, but sometimes we have to break it down to basics and look at something a little more humble; case in point, this fan. However, don't get too downhearted, it's still nerdy as hell and packed with "features", for a fan at least.... [COOLERMASTER] via PCSTATS

AMD Graphics Radeon HD 6850 Review @ PCSTATS
"Let's tackle the issue of performance from a component stand point. The dual-core Bobcat processor in the Zacate APU from AMD is much faster than the dual-core HyperThreaded Atom D510 processors and is about on par with the performance of the Penryn-based dual-core Celeron SU2300 CULV part. Obviously the in-order architecture of the Atom CPU family is starting to show its age and I have to wonder if Intel doesn't have something else up their sleeve to compete with the obviously fundamentally better design of the Bobcat core."... ASUS ENGTX460 Direct Cu (LostCircuits) @ PCSTATS
"AMD made it clear to us that the 6800 series are a refresh of the 5800 series, and while they have made some performance tweaks and improvements (specifically in things like tessellation) there is no ground breaking performance update here, and the cards sit pretty much where their 5800 series counterpart did."... lower funded 3rd party Fabs @ PCSTATS
The story around Fermi and by extension around nVidia has been one of the more interesting sagas of the last year, paralleling almost the Ring of the Nibelung in its epic proportions and featuring Jen-Hsun Huang as Siegfried the dragon slayer. Contrary to medieval traditions, though, Fermi was originally presented as a highly scalable and modular design in a top-to-bottom approach with the high end models being introduced first to set the expectations and create a demand for scaled back versions at a lower price. History further predicted the follow-up on the GF100 design to be a result of taking the Xacto knife and simply dividing the die into equal halves. At a very high level, the GF104, which is the subject of this article does seem to follow this rather simplistic model. However, it only takes a second look to see that there are a number of fundamental changes to the GF100 design that dramatically increase the cost/performance ratio, at least in theory. The theory in this case being that the GF100 is a somewhat unbalanced design with over-engineering in some areas and lack of resources in some others as we already mentioned in our review of the ASUS ENGTX 480. .... The only gripe we had with the ENGTX was the omission of the mini-HDMI to HDMI converter and that was primarily because we wanted to try triple displays, an oversight on our part since current nVidia cards only supply two displays anyway and one needs SLI in order to get the third display going. In that case, though, there is no need for HDMI since there are four DVI-I ports to chose from anyway. Which leaves the only other application, which includes a large screen HDTV. As mentioned, the adapter can be found on-line for some US$ 2.50 and it may be worthwhile just getting one for grins since eventually youÂ’ll need it. On a short notice. Which, by definition means it is going to be costly. Overall, though, we were extremely happy with the ENGTC 460 Direct Cu which is still an excellent compromise between price and performance and we highly recommend it as the card that is the least expensive entry point to high-end gaming.... Lian Li PC-Q11 Mini ITX Case Review @ PCSTATS
"Both companies were expecting a performance and feature boost when 28 nm comes online, but it is certainly later than most everyone had planned for. Instead, we are seeing new designs on the current 40 nm process, and will continue to see derivative parts being introduced over the next six to seven months. Then it will be the buildup to the 28 nm generation. So, we really do not expect to see a big jump in features and performance throughout this next year. Cayman and GTX 580 will essentially rule the roost as the top performing single chip solutions."... [PCPER] via PCSTATS

Samsung's Hot, New 470 Series 256GB SSD Burned In @ PCSTATS
"You know that expression "this is the Ferrari of keyboards"? Well, it seems that Gigabyte got inspired by it and created a great gaming keyboard that, aside from really behaving like a Ferrari of gaming keyboards, it also features a design clearly derivative of the Italian car maker. The Aivia K8100 comes in black, red and yellow versions and features an emblem on the wrist rest that just looks too much like the ones found on sportst cars. Let's take it for a ride then." ... Bigfoot Networks Killer 2100 Gaming Network Card Review @ PCSTATS
In some ways, Samsung is a silicon ninja in the solid state drive (SSD) space. Whether you realize it or not, Samsung has been churning out their own SSDs for some time (as well as the actual NAND Flash chips themselves of course), only up until now they've come pre-packaged with OEM notebooks or rebadged under another company's branding. With the introduction of the new 470 series, Samsung is finally selling its own branded SSDs, but that's not all. Pop the hood and you'll find the Samsung label through and through, from the memory chips to the custom controller -- no Indilinx or SandForce hardware here, folks. We'll be examining Samsung's flagship capacity, the 256GB model, on the following pages, which of course is the most expensive of the bunch. At $550, this isn't a budget upgrade by any means, but it is roughly in line with similarly spec'd drives from the competition:... [SAMSUNG] via PCSTATS
