Acer Denies Phasing Out Netbooks for Tablets
Lately there has been a spate of denials coming from companies over different issues, the latest being Acer. An Acer spokesperson spoke out of hand to a reporter from Computer World this week, Acer has been quick to deny the validity of the statement. "Acer Inc. confirms that the company will not phase out netbooks in favor of tablets," Acer said in its Jan. 19 statement. Comments

Apple Criticized by Chinese Environmental Groups
Apple has come under increased criticism from Chinese 'green' groups for exposing the Chinese workers to unsafe working conditions and using environmentally unsafe practices in manufacturing procedures. Apple has denied any wrongdoing. "We've found that Apple isn't honoring its commitment in ensuring its supply chain's work safety and environmental responsibility and giving dignity and respect to the workers," said Ma Jun, of the Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs (IPE) Comments

Groupon recently turned down a $6B buyout bid from Google and obviously this new venture by Google is the result. EA Denies Claim of Tiger Woods Nudity Glitch
