Rahul Sood Leaves HP
Back in 2006, HP acquired VoodooPC and its owner Rahul Sood. Sood brought a lot of "Voodoo DNA" into HP computers, especially the Envy line, but has slowly seen his Voodoo creation fade away. Sood has always been out-spoken and his time with HP was no different. Now though, Rahul Sood is leaving HP though he doesn't give a reason as to why. What the complicated part means is anyone's guess, as is what exactly he will be moving on to after leaving HP. Sood says he is looking forward to being involved in a "product pipeline" again, so perhaps he has his mind set on a new company in which to create new products.

Microsoft Upgrades Games for Windows Live
Microsoft has given a brand new look to its Games for Windows Live service. Included in the redesign is a new look MSN games, a new feature known as Game Hub, and the release of the Games for Windows Marketplace. The Game Hub will tie users together using either their Windows Live ID or Facebook account. This will allow users to play games with friends, appearing to be similar to Steam. However, it appears to be for internet based games only, and will have 35 titles available at launch. The Games for Windows Marketplace is even more Steam-like and will allow users to buy electronic copies of games to be downloaded at their leisure. Activision will soon add its content to the service, and it could pose a challenge to Steam. As a kick off bonus, a different game will be on sale everyday. Grand Theft Auto IV is up first. Check out the forums to discuss the sales and see what is up next.
