Epson released home entertainment PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 projector. Native resolution of projector is 1080p, and contrast ratio is up to 36,000:1, brightness up to 1,800 lumens, and 2.1X optical zoom. It uses 3LCD technology and a D7 chip set.

Intel introduces first Core i5
Intel Corporation announced new desktop and server processors, new Intel Core i5 processor family, two new Intel Core i7 processors and the Intel Xeon processor 3400 series, and all of them are already available, along with the new Intel P55 express chipset. Formerly codenamed Lynnfield, these new chips are based on Intel's Nehalem micro architecture and, as company said, are designed for consumers who need top-notch performance for digital media, productivity, gaming and other demanding applications.

Tiny HD camera from Aiptek
At IFA fair in Berlin, Aiptek showed new PenCAM, tiny, ultra-slim, pen-like HD camera, measuring only 130x35x19 mm and 75g. PenCAM records video in HD resolution (1280x720). It has 5 mega-pixels still camera with flashlight, and memory capacity of 4 GB, on which can record around 120 minutes of video. Video can be uploaded directly to YouTube or watched on TV via HDMI.

First Android phone from LG
At Vodafone stand on the IFA trade fair in Berlin, German Chip online took picture of the first Android from LG – model called Etna. For now we only know that Etna is a 3-inch touchscreen and a sliding smartphone.

Asus Eee ebook reader, the smartest and the cheapest?
For quite a while, there were some information about future Asus eee ebook reader, but there were no details. As Times reported on Sunday, Asus is planning to enter the market later this year with one, or maybe two ebook readers. Asus claims its ebook reader will be “cleverer and more versatile” than models from Sony and Amazon.

IFA, Day 5: Portable speakers for gamers
One of the popular brands we came across the IFA fair is Verbatim. A lot of new stuff was released, and a lot of things we saw on CeBIT is now available. Portable speakers are ever popular, so we weren't surprised when we saw one made by Verbatim. It's a bluetooth stand alone speaker, that has no cables and it is an ideal solution for something that you can carry around, and hook up with your phone or any otherbluetooth device. The new Rapier headset is oriented toward gamers and it has the vibration module built in, something that gamers are fond of. There is also a noise cancellation with the use of microphone.

IFA, Day 4: Home Entertainment joy
Verbatim has bigger and better booth with more products displayed than on any trade show we have ever been. Among really numerous interesting stuff, one that was at the spotlight wasMediaStation HD DVR. If you are familiar with Verbatim products, you will know that there was one MediaStation before this one. New one is bigger and nicer, with a display at the front, as one thing to see on the first glance. This display now replace older OSD controls, and you now do not have to power on TV just to play some music.

IFA, Day 4: XXL photo frames at Xoro
The new line of products we've seen on Xoro's exhibition area led us to believe that displays are not the only cool stuff we can find here. The models with integrated DVD players come in different sizes so you can pick the model that suites your need. There is also a variety of portable DVD players, TV sets, withHDMI, HD support and so forth. HTL 2434HD can do time shift, it has no integrated hard drive but nothing stops you from putting one inside. The model we like the most is theHSD 8700, blu-ray player with Matroska container (MKV) support, and a full HD 1080p output trough the HDMI connection.
